Hey guys (and girls),

I've had my 02 silver P5 for about a month now, and I love it!!
But online it says they have 130 hp and it sure doesn't feel like 130.
My guess is that the 130 is at the crank.
I found some dyno runs and they had between 105 and 110 hp but with mods like intake and exhaust.

I wanna know what the stock pwer at the wheel is.

Thanks (thumb)

its usually about 104whp and 113wtrq on average.

my times are near stock. i only went to 6000rpms and didn't launch really hard. i only had the intake, wires and exhaust on at the time. im sure if i ran it now i'd be about a mid 16 which is sad.

I dynoed at 101whp and 111trq with a cold air intake. My 1/4 was a 16/8@81mph.... thats with a bad 60 foot. With i/h/e, the average P5 will run a 16.6@81mph. There isn't much to look forward to at the drag strip with a P5...

What sucks is how bad the power delivery is on an FS-DE. The dyno is all spikey. Mine was like that too....actually, almost every single P5 dynos ive seen looks all choppy like that...

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it.

One more thing: does anyone know why that is? (the choppy dyno graphs)

Or what to do to fix it?

Yeah, im thinking ECU. Maybe Mass Air Flow sucks ass?

Has anyone thought of getting an adjustable fuel regulator and seeing if it can even out the flow? Or does anyone have A/F readings to see how they look?

There is a lot to be said about EM! Remember these are ECNO cars and they weren't built very well. Get a good engine managment system and you would see a good improvment. But the cost to HP ratio wont be good.

There's my stock dyno. Lovely, isn't it?

Stock I ran a 16.84 @ 81.50 Blazing fury, no?

it looks spikey because of the increments used. if the increments were larger it would look less spikey. every car is gunna look spikey when the increments are smaller. our torque is relatively flat for the type of car we have.

My Dyno:

will have to get a better one up later......

max HP was 113.XX and TQ was 116.XX

the runs were getting better each time as the engine was warmer!

I'm scared to dyno mine, I'm a mile high, so I'll be lucky to break 100 with my intake.

sure your car is adjusted properly for that altitude.
