Let me know about the fitament of you MAM after you get it installed...Mine has been sort of a PITA hitting the front Transverse Member while I accelerate....Got it pretty much worked out, but wondering if it is a common design problem or just my cross brace being bent to s***..
Thanks

hopefully its just your problem.....i have not heard of any issues with the midpipe.....but after i install it i will let ya know.

looking forward to hearing it at the meet man! do you know of any good shops that do good, cheap exhaust work?

cheap is all based on type of piping you want....you want cheap price...you pay for bad pipping....you want good pipping (ie: stainless steal...etc..) you have to pay lil more money

i know Midas does exhaust work....and i believe Pep boys does as well..

but luckily i have a nice Family owned exhaust shop in my area that does great work....

in all honesty...you could probably piece together a custom exhaust system cheaper than you would pay to buy from a store or some parts place

all you need is a nice Muffler....a high flow cat for the midpipe and your set...maybe a couple resentors so you have a nice deep tone instead of the rice sound produced by most hondas...

and you set to go

all i want to do is buy a n1 style muffler and have a shop weld one like the HKS axleback u bought.(but maybe under the axle?)

are you just wanting to replace the axleback....and keep the stock pipping...or are you wanting to do a full catback system...meaning from the midpipe back?

if u want just the axleback done....then should not be to bad on pricing...but i would just do a full cat back if i were you....

much better in my opinion....all you would need is the muffler....and the shop will do the pipping for you.

i'd say you could probably get a decent custom catback done...for about $200-$300...depending on the type of pipping you want.

see i cant spend that much money right now or for a while, body needs a fixing first, the axleback will just do fine for me.

well Pepboys does not do exhaust work.....so cut them out

and what ever you do....if you are wanting to eliminate the catalaytic converter.....no shop will do it....

so if you are wanting custom you will have to get a high flow cat...

learned that today.....now i have to install the midpipe myself...which is no big deal...i installed my catback myself......but i just cant seem to get the car jacked up enough to get under the car and work comfortable to do the midpipe...

but i guess i'll have to figure something out

and i know what ya mean about the body work...i have to have my front end fixed.....hitting a wild pig....(huge) i might add at 45 mph will kinda mess ur front end up.

nothing major though......need replace/fix...radiator shroud....hood latch....bumper has broken tab....(but i'm getting MSP lip, so i'll have that fitted and painted on to the bumper).....and one headlight has broken tab....so may replace both and black them out...

use broken taillight as my test light...incase i F up the 1st time.....atleast the light is already broken.

Looking for aftermarket midpipe

I'll will order one with the cat at a later date. I am trying to get my money back from my cc due to the MAM bs. I purchased my car in June of 2001 and I order a Racing Beat Cat back in November of 2001 and received one of the first ones in April of 2002, and they kept me updated on it progress, to include the status of the prototype that was being built. I considered an Essential Speed header, but after reading several post on the long time and lack of customer service they provided, I chose the OBX header. I also found the MAM midpipe on the forum about a year ago and base on the reports of the forum decided, after much thought, to purchase it in August 2006. This is where I am at today, looking for alternatives.

well if you wanted to just do the axleback....then you could get mine.....its for sale...i could take it to my local shop and have them cut it so it fits flush with the bumper....was going to do it...better never got to it...saw deal on HKS couldnt pass it up...

but i could have the shop cut it and re-weld it....if you want the axleback

dude, no one wants your axle back, lmao, drop it,lol. i want an axleback just like the one u have now, the HKS one, but custom made, u kno what i mean?

yes we do carry them, yes they are more expensive but we have several differences over MAM.

1) our midpipe uses stainless piping, stainless flanges, stainless brackets and stainless catalytics (if ordered with cat). no mild steel, no aluminized steel, etc. everything is stainless.
2) we use metal core vibrant high flow cats on our catted midpipes. these cats are emissions legal certified by vibrant.
3) superior fitment quality.
4) our product actually ships to the customer when ordered.
