I am most likely going to be getting a new 6 this week and wanted to ask to see if nay of you have had any problems with your car. I am not sure if am going to spend the extra money for the V6 or not. I have always had manuals but i am seriously considering just getting an automatic. Any feedback on the 6 would be great. Thanks.

I like mine.
Its easily the most comfortable car i have ever had.
Handlings good. Coming from an STi I found the suspension way to washy initialy but once i had some faith in it, I relized it sticks nicely.
THe V6 power is good, a little underpowered though.

I have a standard on mine and its nice and smooth.

OVerall I am happy I bought it.
COnsidering you can get up to $3000 in rebate now and a hefty discount becuase the 06 will be here soon, its a nice time to atleast start shoping.

I have white rims on my white P5 right now and I am still trying to decide if i want to keep them and put them on the 6. If i do i just don't know what color 6 i should get. I liked the white P5 with the white rims but I just don't think it will look good on the 6. I was thinking the blue but I am not sure if i will even keep the rims.

So does anyone have complaints about the automatic?

I've had a few problems with mine but they are a result of my accident most likely.

I've been through three cd changers
blew a synchro in my transmission this morning
and then there are the random rattles that annoy the s*** out of me.

other than that, it's a great car and I wish I didn't crash it because it would be 200% better if I didn't.

Everyone and there brother has the damn blue.
Get the Volcanic Red, its the New Hotness!

I was just looking online at a Subaru RS, any comments on one of those. I know it's no STi but for the price it doesn't seem like a bad car. I have an appointment for a test drive today.

Subaru is probably the best buil economy car these days.
Yes they rattle and don't look the most upscale on the inside but they can take a royal ass beating.
Not to mention the All Wheel Drive System is outstanding.
The suspension is too soggy for my tastes.

The 6 S is easily faster though.

You'd likely pay less in insurance for the Subaru as I payed less for my STi then I do for my 6.

I just called Geico and they said that the 6L is $150 cheaper than a RS. I think I will end up getting the 6 unless the test drive of the RS just blows me away.

If you want a quick 6 then get the V6 with a manny tranny.

The auto tranny on the Mazda 6 robs a lot of horse power. Even with a CPE intake and Magnaflow cat back exhaust, the auto still makes less horse power to the wheel than a stock 6 with a manuel transmission.

Yeah i test drove the non V6 and it lagged a lot. I will see what kind of deal they will give me on the V6 but I think it is going to be hard to turn down the subaru.

I'm interested to know...where did you wreck your Car? to what extent was the damage?

I broadsided a minivan with the front of my car.. $7000 worth of damage to my car.. here are some pics

there was a lot more damage than the pics revealed.. a lot of internal stuff snapped including my freaking cpe intake.. I still haven't replaced that and I got the car back in feb.. but now I wonder every time something goes wrong if it was related to the accident.
