Looking at buying a MSP and want advice? Post here!

it seems like your have to pay and arm and leg just for an msp from a dealer and they always say they are excellent condition yet there are flaws with them and things that will need fixed, meaning after about $1500 it would be excellent condition

i give it a week i cant find an msp im just buying a dolorean and take it back to 2003 and buy a new one

Wow that's the best idea I've heard all week. I'll go with you to punch the previous owner of my MSP right in the face. Even if he didn't have the car yet, it would be like Minority Report. His ass is going to jail for the future crime of destroying an MSP.

we have a plan, now just need to get some banana peels or whatever the doctor uses to fuel the car in btf3 or which ever one it is

if your refering to the yellow msp on ebay in PA yeah it looks nice, i was thinking about buying it, but paint doesn't match on the drivers rear door and they replace the blown motor with one that they have no idea on how many miles. needs bushing for front sway, and ripple on driver back quarter. they won't negotiate any lower than $8800, and the salesmans like to give attitude when you point out the flaws. that msp just seems like bad news too me

is there a difference between the mazdaspeed motor and the 3rd gen protege motor? if so whats different?

same motor as long as it's the 2.0 liter. You just have to get all the extra gadgets like the oil return line and stuff like that. lol wish I knew exactly what it all is, but yes same exact motor.

alright because i am looking at a msp its only a 45min drive from me, it spun a rod bearing so i was just going to replace the motor if i bought it just needed to know if the motors were built up at all in the msp's or not.

the kids only asking 2500 but the body has 120k on it i don't know if i should suspect something else to be wrong with it or what

msp's didnt come built. just like the normal 2.0's. how you enjoying them seats? :)
