Look at this compare from Nissan Murano?

Well....IMO the Mazda motor is more refined. The Murano is a decent vehicle, but it's no comparison to the CX-9. The Murano competes with the CX-7, the CX-9 is a full class above the Murano and has it beat in everyway. In Canada the Murano is way overpriced as well, its $10k more than the CX-7.

seriously, it may have it beat in a lot of categories but it's doubtful that it has it beat in every way. they tow the same so thats a win for neither (and certainly squelches any thought that the cx-9 beats the murano in every way), the cx-9 certainly wins for cost of the xfer case (hope that one doesnt decide to take a crap right out of warranty.)

really, I didnt come here to defend nissan (and I were looking to troll, I'd have looked for the B-series forum, not a crossover), I came here to do a little research as I am considering a cx-9. that said, sometimes I hate the blindness that is just about any auto forum...cant see that there are other good things out there that may have similar or better features. I own a honda and a nissan and am considering a mazda (which I have never owned) because my wife likes the look (and it seems like it will suit our needs) I have respect for other manufacturer's products and I realize that what is good for me isnt necessarily good for everyone and I try not to make blanket statements that are unrealistically simple (such as beats it in every way).

you like your mazda, great, good for you, I'm sure if I go to a murano forum the feelings will be exactly the opposite, good for them.

Again.....the Murano does not compete with the CX-9, it is a full class below. It's like comparing the MDX to the RDX.

LOL!!

They are really grasping at straws and manipulating the facts to make it seem like the Murano is even in the same class as the CX-9.

Murano compares to the CX-7 and is grossly overpriced. No comparison to the CX-9 at all.

That sums it up nice! Why this thread has become that big? Definitely useless.

Okay, I have to put my 2 cents in to this. The Murano isn't a bad vehicle, but it proves that people do not shop smart when they buy cars.

The Murano costs the same as a CX-9, yet it haves significantly less cargo room, 2 less passengers, is slower and will not corner like a CX9, less passenger comfort, and yet is only 11" shorter. But you see them all over the place. People are dumb.

Oh well. I have '03 Murano SE (sport edition) for 3 years. I love my Mazda but its not even close to Murano. Murano is more like Maxima, which is officialy called "sport sedan". It is not bad car, but this comparation sux anyway....
