Alright I will be driving from Boston to Georgia in 2 weeks in my MSP and was looking for some feed back from anyone that has taking any long trips in there MSP or MP5,
Also where can I get a BRA just for the trip because I just had the bumber repainted?(nervous) (yawn) (piss)

My friend is sellin' his bra for 75+ shipping (acidbbg on this forum). I would recommend taking I95 straight down. Just becareful around MD/VA, they are great for pullin' people over in those states.

Bump that's me!

It's an OEM Mazda Protege5/MazdaSpeed Bra! Still have original reciept..purchased for over $120!

Email me w/ any questions!

You should never have to do that! Unless you are on the boost for like 60miles straight lol!

I had to fly from TN to MO to get my Spicy MSP and drove it the 600+ miles back. The seats are o.k. at best. Allow some stretch time. Off ramps and on ramps are about the only excitement you'll get on the interstate. The lack of cruise control does get old. Finally, make a couple of good mp3 cd's for cruise music. Otherwise, it's was uneventful.

great thing about the p5..is there is cruise control..and sunroof!

:p

IMHO, the sunroof is what kept me from buying a really nice P5 I found. I hate sunroofs. As for the cruise... yeah, you got me there. Wish I had it.

ive driven from washington dc to nyc about 10 times back and forth since i got my speed in oct. i also just drove to albany 2 weeks ago. its not as far as boston to georgia, but still an overall "long trip." i love the drive up there and back. very true about the md/va cops though (i deal with it everyday). but from nyc to dc, its pretty easy to ride fast with a group of cars, especially on the turnpike.

True, once you find a group of cars to ride fast with, you will be good as long as you keep up with the pace. Unless 5 cars are doing 100mph and everyone else is doing 80, I would say that is an invite for the police.

Yeah I love it on our highways when a whole slew of cars is flying down at 90mph. But then there's always that asshole who stays in the left hand lane doing exactly 65...and he's usually from NY (sorry NYers, it seems like most of you guys can't figure out to stay out of the left lane)

Steves over the last 4 year I did the NJ to GA trip like 10 times.
First where do u need to go in GA?
Atlanta or Augsta?

Atlanta take I-95 to I-85
Augsta take I-95 stright

If you coming to atlanta here are some helpful tips

don't go >5 MPH in the 65 in NJ... they double the fine on ur ass (1-5 mile over = 160 dollars, 5-10 mile over = 180 and 10-15 over = 200 dollars fine. Any faster, call mommy to pick u up)

Delaware = 10 min drive....

Maryland = speed traps on down hills
VA = speed traps everywhere in Northern VA. But everyone drives fast as hell
NC = I got a 250 dollar ticket cuz of all the constructions
SC = some construction. but fun as hell to drive
GA = 70mph speed limit. floor it...

Let me guess the reason you coming to GA is to go to GT or have business in atlanta right?

1 last thing switch out ur springs to softer springs or u won't be able to keep lunch/dinner down.

hey Bostonian ....look up some of us GA speeders when you get here...........that way we can show you what a speed, that has never seen salt, looks like....LOL j/k.....if you dont want all the traffic (or the F'in TOLLS) on the east coast on 95 (coming to the ATL).....check out

****I-84 West into NY to I-87 South

****follow I-87 to I-287 SOUTH .....NOT to NYC !!!!!

****you will get off I-287 South in NJ and get on I-78 west in to PA...then get on

****I-81 South follow all the way to Tennesse where I-81 south ends...go

****WEST on I-40 until you hit I-75 (still in TN)

**** go south I-75.......until ......(music) Welcome to Atlanta....(no more music)

3 years ago i use to drive from MD to Savannah GA atleast 3 time a year for 5 years. I would just leave at night and find a truck or 2 and tail them. Gas is increased 10 fold because you have no windand they do about 80+ miles an hour. i would time it so i got to GA or MD around 7 am then sleep all day wake up at night and party!!

MD is tricky. it turns into 495 then back into 95. Go left on 495 toward Annapolis, East. that is quickest. if you go the other way you will eventually hit 95 south too. Its a "Beltway"

Downtown richmond if its late and no traffic is fun as hell. all the windy twisty highway! Don't drive into the big clock though!!! and be sure to salute Malboro when you drive buy!!!

You got it all wrong. Not sure of the exact fines, but:

In a 65mph zone, speeding from 1-9 MPH over the limit gets you the normal fine. It's only doubled for 10+MPH over the limit.

Your car is not towed if you are caught going >15mph over the limit.

must of changed it. i meant to type in 25 over not 15 sorry.

It's been that way since they started the double fine s***. The signs say 'double fine for speeding and other violations' but the actual law only says fines are doubled for >10mph.

Also, the >25mph tow is not true, I got a ticket for doing 80 in a 50 and did not get towed. I have never heard of anyone getting their car towed for speeding unless they were doing >100

you sure cuz my mom got a ticket 2 weeks ago and she was doing 8 over and it was like 160. normally 5 over is like 80 dollars. as for the towing my friend had his car towed doing 25 over but he might of gotten hit with something else he didn't tell me about. then again i could be wrong cuz i usally tune my mom out....

Pretty sure.

Also there's a new thing for some highways in NJ that don't have 65mph limits.. the 'designated safe corridor'. Same deal as in the 65mph zones....stupid stupid stupid.
