Long time lurker, second account here

Hello everyone. This is my second account, I had the moderators delete my first as I figured I wouldn’t be getting a CX5 until next year. However because of a possible engine issue, and my wife hating my 2011 CX7, I finally caved and bought a 2016 Mazda CX-5 GS.

Just a little about myself. I bought this Mazda3 brand new in February 2015 after much headaches with the 2013 Mitsubishi Cancer I had.

This is the day I sold “Dark Knight” as my wife affectionately named it. I didn’t want to but because my wife lost both of her jobs last year, we took advantage of the increase in car values and sold both her 2016 CX5 and my 3 to help pay the bills until she got another job. I found her a cheap little 2011 Honda Fit and I got myself an old 2011 Mazda CX7 GX.

From day 1 my wife hated it as it wasn’t her CX5 nor was it my 3. I liked it because it was cheap to insure and run. I never had any plans on keeping it long term. And as I promised her when she finds a stable job I would trade it the CX7 for a CX5.

Well here it is….

2016 CX5 GS FWD with 124,000 kms, one owner trade in in the summer of 2021, dealer serviced and full records.
it does have a nice big scratch on the rear bumper but the dealership will repaint it. Heated seats, power driver seat, sunroof. I’m happy, the price was as expected, and I did my best to control the interaction and transaction with the salesman. I was expecting a fight about swapping my wheels and tires on the CX7 and putting them on the 5 and putting the oem 225/65/17 tires and wheels on the 7.

My wife is more excited about this than I am, and she wants to drive it everywhere.

These are the wheels on my CX7 with 235/65/17 Nokian Rotiiva AT tires. I’m looking forward to seeing them on the new ride.

Welcome back CruzinCX! The CX-5 looks like it's in great condition!
