I picked up a 2002 P5 back in January (one owner, 139k miles, Sunlight Silver) for my daily commute. I can't say enough good things about this ride. What it lacks in acceleration/speed it more than makes up for in handling and fuel economy. It's been getting a solid 30 mpg.
So far, the only mods I've done are the upper grill cut out mod, K&N panel filter and extended tip spark plugs.
Over the last few weeks I've been trying out some hypermiling tricks (mostly just doing the speed limit). This past week the wife and I took the P5 to the NC Outer Banks. It got a stunning 34.7 mpg!
