Long Drive Comfort

Picked up a 2019 Signature last month, and for the most aprt its great, like the features, the interior and it has decent pickup with the turbo. One thing I cant stand is there is no where for my right elbow to rest on long drives. It gets pretty uncomfortable because my arm is in the air when I am holding the wheel, rather than supported as the center console cover is just a tad too short. Does anyone else have this problem? Any solutions to make it more comfortable for longer trips?

Put your elbows on your knees and grab the wheel at 5-7, like cops do.
It's different from my Tahoe, where I have natural support on both sides, but I never experienced discomfort driving 1000mi+ in '15 CX-5 either.

This is a top 5 complaint for me for my 2018 GT with Premium Package. Otherwise I think the leather seats are comfortable. But Mazda makes a big deal about being one with the damn vehicle, like centering the seat and steering wheel, then leaves the arm rests at different heights and WAY to far apart, with the console cover behind my elbow. I wish they were closer together and that the center one could telescope.

It might be difficult to make that work well with the command knob.

I think there was a thread where someone fashioned a booster for his console.

There are aftermarket solutions.

Not the most elegant thing in the world, but if it were only installed for trips...

And for only $13, you won't be too mad if it doesn't completely solve the problem.

Since I have long legs and short arms for my height, this has been my go to in pretty much every vehicle I've driven! I find it very comfortable.

I wasnt sure when I read the previous comments but I sit right back with the steering column right back and my arms go equally on the armrests.

I own one of those pillow things posted on this thread and it works well. Use it only for long trips. Very effective.
