so i havent really drove my MSP very far, and i was wondering if anyone has had issues driving it for say 350+ miles straight?

that will depend on your MSP current condition. Its not set in stone that even if its currently running perfect it won't break down along the trip either.

Personaly I've had few trips longer then 500+ miles and never had problem , except do expect brake fade so make sure you account for that (its not a "problem" just happens w/ long trips)
I've driven in winter time and hot summer time and no problem what so ever.

make sure your car is running tip top, check your hoses, belts, tires, and you should be golden....

I don't know about speed3.5 brake fade issue.. that doesnt sound normal for mostly highway driving. Maybe he has a malfuctioning caliper or something.... brake fade generally comes on with heavey brakeing not driving down the highway for several hours.

You'll be fine as long as there isn't something on the verge of going out. I've driven my MSP as my exclusive daily driver for a year without any problems. The engine runs cool (at least mine does) and I haven't had any problem on my road trips. I used to run it from Chicago to Grand Rapids (3hrs) on a weekly basis, and I've taken it from Michigan to Oklahoma and Mississippi without a problem. There were parts of the trip from OK to MS where I actually hit like 34mpg with it.

I 2nd that he will be fine. Asuming he has no issues with driving the car across town. Just check the stuff like hoses for soft spots/bulges, belts for cracking, and all fluids before you head out.

I've driven my car straight from Wyoming to Illinois, non stop. Ran like a champ. Just do the normal things that you would for any car before you hit the road. Check your oil, spark plugs, tire pressure, wiper fluid, coolant etc. Then travel with a small tool kit and flashlight just in case.

I have driven from Virginia Beach to S.D. with no problems. As long as you take good care of your car you will be fine.

i drove mine from Fort Mill SC to Orlando FL in a staight shot and back up about 5 days later and had no problems. and mine has 169,000 miles and not in the best shape! you will be fine. just check over the car pretty well

The majority of my mileage is from long dustance travel, in February I drove it from Cleveland to Daytona and back and this past weekend from Cleveland to VIR and it was on the track on Saturday and Sunday.

Should be no problem as long as the car has been properly maintained.

Just don't boost in 5TH!!!! Atleast not for a long time....This topic is still under debate....

I've driven mine plenty of times for extremely long periods. Besides what has been said already, when that little low fuel light comes on make sure you are able to refuel soon.

I had a 600 mile trip. The only problem I had was somehow, water got in my MAF and made the car stumble and throw a cel.

I had a turbo life, and averaged 75 the whole trip. Hitting 130 at times. I have no idea how water got in my maf. I had to disconnect my cold pipe and dry it out a couple times. Took a couple days because water kept appearing.
