E Ernie Member : 2009 Mazda6 GTi 6MT Aug 27, 2009 #2 I believe it's now a requirement on all GPS units, aftermarket and stock in the US. The term you are looking for (to search) is "bypass" Some aftermarket ones can be modified; not sure about the mazda. Try a search on the board, then google. -Ernie
