NATO and the UN are the biggest farces in the world. They are ineffectual institutions that make decisions that no one pays attention to. The UN blunders everything it has a hand in, and NATO is nothing with out the US. Every NATO mission, not led by the US has been a disaster, and for goodness sake man, read about the atrocities this man commited. Do you honestly believe that he should be in power? he wasnt even the legitimate leader of the iraqi people!

how about putting real pressure via NATO on Saddam or perhaps do what we are doing with the North Koreans; find a true partner in the region that stands to benefit from a stable Iraq ala Saudi Arabia. the Saudis were not at risk of invasion from Saddam and need the support of the US. Saddam was a survivor, faced with the true, realistic threat he would've backed down (like he tried to do through channels at the State Dept. and was turned away by the administration).

just to finish up; thank goodness for the Dutch, at least they found something that was close to a biological weapon before they pull out (the US pulled the 400-man search team about two weeks ago)...

Real pressure?
So saying you have have 24 hours or we will attack your ass, isn't real pressure. All threat and pressure of attack measure were tried and failed.

We also both know damn well the only reason NK hasn't been dismantled even faster is becuase of their nuclear capabilities.

As for an ally, Sadam have no interest in our supporters in the region. Sadam never once came close to our terms. He always wanted to buy time to continue the BS games. this went on for far to long.

NATO is crap. i just heard on the news how they have been looking for some guy in Bosnia that was part of Milosovic's regime, for 3 years!! how long did it take us to find saddam? 6 months? the reason why Saddam didnt listen to NATO, because it is a farce.

He didn't listen becuase he knew damn well the international community is a bunch of diplomats that think all things are resolved threw negotiations and they had ZERO chance of actualy being attacked if they didn't cooperate. Every organization with international authority dicked around for the last decade threatening this creatin and never was any serious action taken against him.

Put it this way, if someone was threatening you for 10 years, at what point would you right them off as being totaly full of s***?

isn't it sad that while Michael Moore does the same thing and is denounced for only using parts of interviews and different quotes by conservatives everywhere. then someone goes to an anti-war rally and speaks to a bunch of non-native english speakers (accents) and gets partial answers to complex questions then its funny how stupid "liberals" are...

at least those people (for whatever reason) were doing something and standing up for a cause they believed in. while they didn't have the answers to the questions, they at least stood up against something they "know" isn't the right way?

that video reminds me of when i went to DC this october to a rally. the "cause" was Bring The Troops Home, but it really was a gigantic event for everyone to display and yell their personal agenda. there was no unity in that march.

why woudl you yell at a police officer at a rally, when he's standing there making sure nothing goes wrong? why woudl you bring your "movement" to light while everyone is supposed to be united for one cause?

the left of this country is quite strange and i sometimes wish not to be associated with this side as they have no answers, only complaints.

Good grief. First the media gets flack for biasing interviews and statements to the liberal side, and now we have things obviously the other way in this interview.
