iracemine, you just bolted in the lap belts into the OEM 3-point locations? What did you do for your 5th/6th crotch harness?

I was planning on bolting them to the Corbeau seat brackets or using the eye bolts into the floor with the large backing washer.

I've read the Schroth harness manual a couple times but I always have questions. haha

ps- awesome pic. I love race cars and P5's. Double win.

If you do end up drilling holes through the floor this is what I used.

Good man. SCMP3 (Mike) was eating dinner with me and my wife after a car meet. We were talking about the Mid-Ohio meet. My wife says, "Aside from the car meet, what's in Mid-Ohio" Mike quickly answered, "Uhhh, Mid-Ohio"
JT's excuse to the wifey is, "There is good shopping down there"...I told mine the same

Bahaha Not to be off topic, but the wife was told that she would meet Patrick Dempsey. I had to give her that bad news that he wouldnt be there.....only after we purchased our plane tickets.

Nope. Midwestern sports car council is great for supporting a great competitive class that does not require you to buy a ton of stuff to race.

Now that you've been doing it for a while you really should start thinking about adding the rest of your safety equipment. I have seen some really bad crashes in my time on the track, luckily good safety equipment minimized much of the damage, but I did see one guy die from only having a minimum level cage that collapsed on him in the A-pillar and foot well area. Road racing gives you a much higher chance of a serious crash than HPDE due to the nature of close driving and fighting for the same real estate. You should have the proper equipment.

Yeah my goodness, even the tubbing looks kinda thin. I know I wouldn't go wheel to wheel without a full cage. But different places have different rules I guess.

Awesome, Im sure she is ok with it as I know she will use it against me to pay for a trip to Europe next year. lol

I can get her an autograph if she wants one, I have ways to reach him.....Mid-Ohio is a lot of fun, there is an outlet mall about 25 minutes from the track.

Are you talking the Grand Am race? If so, I recommend posting your question in the corral area as to not muddle jp this thread...

Got my Corbeau FX1 seats in today. The harnesses should be in soon too. I bought Cres's Corbeau/Wedge brackets but they're on a boat from Hawaii so won't be here until the 12th. Haha
