be sure to post pics of the swappage -

I have a KL-ZE setting in my storage I picked up for a swap (yeah....I jumped on a 400 buck engine REAL fast....). I'd like to see what parts you use (if you don't mind, for swap to work that is), and whatnot.

Do you mind hookin a brotha up?

AJ, if you get a header that's not wrapped, I can show you how to wrap them. It's simple, just takes a little patience.

ihone, I've got most of the parts listed in the #2 post of this thread but I'm always up to help other members out. We've got a great little bunch of KL protege's owners here who will always be willing to help out.

I'm sure I could figure it out, and thanks for offering help. Ill take you up on it if I get an unwrapped one. But at autozone the wrap costs like 50$. I saw some cheaper for 20$ but id prefer just getting a good deal. But ill let you know!

there has been a rise in the number of people doing this swap i like it. and good luck with the wiring i still have a problem with mine that i am having a hard time figuring out.

ps dont forget to take lots-o pictures =)

Haha! Sorry guys, it was a busy day. Old motor is out and ready for Josh to pick up. The KL is still on the engine stand but will get mated to the tranny tomorrow. I'm going to pull the Protege harness out and replace it with the Milly harness. Hopefully it will make the wiring a bit easier. Hopefully. heh-heh.

A huge thanks to Pablo, Wes, Kevin and Phen for their help today. Couldn't have done it without you turkeys. I'm sure Wes will post pics when he gets a tic.

Let's see, everything came out pretty well. But the drivers side axle. The passenger side basically slid right out with my hand. We took turns with the BFH to get the drivers side axle out. It took some PB Blaster, a can of Freeze stuff Phen had and a lot of whacks to mushroom the axle end but I've got MSP axles that are going in anyway. All the motor mounts came out pretty easily and everything cooperated well. No broken bolts. But the one ball joint I did remove was a pain, but finally came out. I've got some clunking so I'll be replacing both sides anyway.

OH! And I'm getting BC Coilvers. Score. Kevin wants to trade me my Tein S-Techs and Tokico Blues for his unistalled BC's. They were originally Dubs, then Ivans, then Kevins and now mine. Dirty ****** get around. But Kevin offered me a great deal I couldn't pass up.

I are tired. More play time with the Slow P5 tomorrow morning followed by another update.

Good luck, Simon, Jon and Bull with your cars this weekend!

Well here are the pics, as requested. I also are tired, but I stayed up for you guise.
