Let's see some Mazda3 5-doors

DL those are great shots you do well with the D90 I hope your working in photography a little bit. You make canada out to be something that the US actually should have continued to march north and fight for...then I remember it made nickleback and I took it back. ;-)

Thanks fam! Guess u found out thru EXIF that I have a D90? :P Photography is just a hobby I have, not a career. Though it'd be a nice asset to have.

ehhh they still look good... and fact is even though we see all the people that have them ont he forums... he might be the only one in a 200 mile radius with them on his car so do what you want, dont worry if its played out or not...

I'm the only one (that I've seen) in the eastern part of Nebraska/Western Iowa sporting the shinkas. A ton of people on the forums have them for a reason...They look AWESOME on the car! IMO, they look better on the 3 than they do on the RX-8! I get a bunch of compliments on mine. Look like they were made for the 3!

xMazdax, if you're interested, the best place to find a set of rims is on an RX-8 specific forum. Many shed their shinkas for some aftermarket rims and unload their stock rims on the forum. That's where I picked up mine!

I haven't contributed any pics for awhile, so here's a couple from last summer (my first car show!)...

It's just going to be painted with rattle can until I see how bad it gets ripped up. My ride height is going to be raised a hair when i install my summer wheels but probably not more than 1/4" in the front.

NTIMD8R: are you sure those are shinkas? They look like regular RX8 wheels, a little too silver to be shinkas.. Might just be the picture..

Shinka on the right, regular on the left:

Chef: that lower lip looks great! Its funny that you would raise it for the summer..

It's only going to be raised because of running a different tire size. I have 215/45/17s on there now (which dropped the car 6mm/.23 inches all around) and I am switching to 225/35/19 front and 235/35/19 rear. It will raise the car 7.5mm (.29 inches) in front and 11mm (.43 inches) in the rear but it will also decrease wheel gap by the same amount. I should tuck tire front and back without touching the suspension.

I think I will probably end up squeezing another 1/4" of drop out of the coilovers so hopefully I will keep the same stance I have now after the new wheels go on.

Continental DWS was sold out in a lot of different sizes when I was buying tires.

It will look like this, with slightly larger wheels and two holes on each spoke.
