Dang you guys for leaving me in your dust!!! (fight) haha j/p... i hate seattle traffic... ya it was impossible to catch up to you guys because well, i got boxed in.... And well I have no idea where you guys were eatting at too... Oh well, at least I was able to do a quick run on I-90... I love those tunnels... anyway, yup, thats where I was at, left behind....

Yeah, that traffic once we all hit U-District was a pain! And what gets me is there was no accident at all! Today just was -not- my day for traffic, I'm convinced. :( Everyone that was on the freeway on my way up North today was doing -under- 60MPH and then on the drive home... I got stuck in traffic down in Fife as well as U-District. :(

Glad I got to meet people today! Though I have to admit, I've already forgotten a few names. I remember Mike, and his wife Jessica. And I remember Paul (but I forgot his girlfriend's name! (hand) )

Once again... Sorry I was late getting to BestBuy. I feel so bad about that!

It was nice to have such a large meet...too bad i was too sick to stay the whole time. Anyways, we gotta do this more often. Hope to see a even better turnout for the next time!

The Canadian contingent had a great time too! Sorry about losing everybody on the I-5, but, like y'all said: Traffic was a b****! Anyways, it was great to meet all the new faces. I'm sure we'll see all of you real soon. Later, Ryan (Micaguy)

We had a great time meeting you all. Thanks to our American bretheren for hosting us canucks.. BBQ was nice.... (how did it all go in the box?!? lol)
and of course baja fresh was oh so good as well.

pics anyone? i don't have my compact flash with mine with me.

ps. chris... i guess that avatar WAS mine we were talking about LOL ;)

I was bobbing and weaving like crazy at the end there, barely made the exit. I wasn't sure if there was anyone behind me or not, got a bit busy trying to snake my way through myself.

Nice to get away for the day, (just always feel a little bad putting alot of miles on my car, I'm already over 13g in about 10months. *shrug*) You guys are inspiration. I kind of needed that... Definately gonna ditch my box and do the fiberglass box thing soon (no tears, please I know you were all blown away by my supersly install complete with bungee cords)

Jes> her name's Danielle, and she was happy to have you around to talk to. And hey, if it makes you feel any better I was about 5min off of the first BB meetup. But we were honestly not waiting too long forya, good timing anyway.

HEY CREW... phew.. I love weavin' in between traffic w/ a pack of Mazda's behind me... lol. I totally had a blast and was glad to actually get to know some the people in the crew a bit better. NIV you're the one with that little animation I was talkin' about.. lol.

People have to totally post pictures since I forgot to bring a camera. Also RYAN, shoot me some links via PM of the mods I was askin' about that some of your guys make for the engine. I would totally like to do a bit of dress up under the hood. Maybe some time I can get up there and you can show me how to do that ground wire setup.

Thanks again for everyone showing up, it was totally cool. It was ever cooler that ROB (aka the Joka') didn't get booted in jail or a ticket... phew.. Nice ride bro, get's better every time I see it. Later everyone.. Sleepy time.

Chris

Good times everyone... Good times... :)

Chris let me know when you are interested in that sill ;)

Yeah, we have a great time today.
Such a big group, so many showed up.
This is my 2nd car meet. I love it so much.
Oh, by the way, the pics I took are here.(56K Beware!)(thumb)

Well now I will have to stick with hotdogs for lunch for the next few weeks though. j/k.

BBQ was nice.... (how did it all go in the box?!? lol)
Let's just say, I'm really good at getting big things to fit into tiny boxes. j/k...! The legs just get pulled out, and the two halves of the grill went into the box. I just kept the legs out of the box.

Thanks Chris for taking care of the grill for me...I just wished I coulda stayed longer. I went home and pretty much passed out. :( I'm gonna ask the question that I know everyone wants to ask....when's the next meet?

You took the words right out of my mouth! I was going to ask when the next one was, but then someone already asked for me! Hopefully next time we wont have to worry about the attack of the seagulls and crows. I kept cringing everytime they flew by.. I wonder if we had all set our alarms off if it would've scared those birds away?

Danielle! That's right! Now I don't feel like such a doof.. Just so many names to learn I'm convinced! Just think, we may be neighbors come August or September - Sorta. When I get to that side of the mountains, you'll have to give me a few pointers as to some shops to deal with over there.. 'Cos I really don't want to have to drive the 3 hours it is to Spokane to go to a shop there that a friend of mine referred me to. That is.. When I actually have the money to do something to my car.

Hmm, well it all depends on what you want to do, there's some alright shops here, but they're such huge ricer hangouts I usually steer clear. I'm working at a stereo shop so I can likely hook you up on that front, and with everything else, honestly, with my honda I prettymuch usually net-ordered and installed myself (also keeps every little punk in town from knowing what you've got) Sofar I've done Everything to my car myself, and i'd be glad to help you do some stuff. Might hopefully get into fiberglassing soon here. But if you're thinking turbo and such, they can handle that actually. With mazda parts, this forum is an incredible resource, all sorts of ppl hook us up in here. Butyea, keep in touch. My friend with the black P5 who didn't wanna come over with me wants to try to get a local mazda club going too. Might be lame but *shrug* you never know.

Lame or not, if you have a group of people who have the same passion for a car.. It doesn't matter if there's 2 or 50. It's just being able to enjoy that you have a strong love for.

And the whole rice thing is not an option in this girl's book. If I went rice, I think my fiance would absolutely kill me. I give him enough s*** for having an automatic 5th gen Prelude. But there's a couple of shops here in Tacoma that I've considered dealing with.. But in the past, when I had my Cavalier (which was hooked up rather nice) and I went in looking for J-Body parts, the guys in there absolutely died laughing and said to go to Chevy. (pissed) If it wasn't a Honda, they didn't want to help me. I'll probably do the whole web order thing too, I've just always been so paranoid about ordering stuff off the web 'cos of the whole credit card security thing and not knowing whether or not the stuff will actually show up at my door!

Hm, well, I don't know about you, but Everything Ive everdone, best light is right at sunset. or sunrise, really. low light angles and less direct is almost always best, lots more coor saturation, etc...

I'm pretty confident in the places who deal with this forum. They're almost all just in it for the love. And I've yet to have anything but exemplary treatment. Guess it all kinda depends on what exactly you're looking to do.

Oh, and get this, Danielle's seriosuly looking into getting a P5 now *L* She's liked 'em for quite awhile, even before I got mine, and she's pretty picky about new car styling (hates most) But now she's coming to a point of getting tired of messing with her old fury. And seeing everyone's Pro's this weekend really got her jonesing again, so she's going to the bank tomorrow. Now all we need to do is find her one. If she can't find a decent 5, she might be getting a 3 but it'd have to be a sedan.

Come see me, Paul. We just got in a few brand new P5's at the dealership, and we're selling them as "used". Something to do with the way we acquired them out of state. Hell, we sold one P5 with leather interior, seemeed like it was fully loaded, for $15K. So give me a call...when im ready to go back to work. I'll let you know what I've got.

That's awesome that she's finally wanting to get one now. When I was sitting in both yours and my car, chatting with her on Saturday.. She kept saying how much she loves the cars and that when you got yours she was so jealous 'cos she wanted one! Best of luck in finding one for her! I know a lot of the dealerships are probably doing fairly good deals on the MP5's now due to the fact that the 3's are rolling into the lots.

I got mine at Giant of The Valley in Auburn and I feel pretty confident in that my fiance and I got a really good deal on the car. I owe on my loan after interest, somehow less than what I owed on my Civic.. Confusing, but it worked out in our better interest I guess. That's what Jason keeps telling me. Plus my car insurance dropped sooooooo much!

Is Mazda still offering rebates on the MP5's or not anymore, since the 3's are pretty much replacing it?

MIKE,
So you guys don't have that silver one w/ leather anyomre? THAT would be the on you'd want to hook your girl up with PAUL!!! Totally loaded is the way to go.. the more you can do to it at the purchase of the car the less you'll have to do to make it look nice later.
