LED tail and signal lights

Hi, I am installing fogged out rockblocker overlays on my tail lights and headlights and i am thinking of installing LED bulbs to give me a bit more light so my signal and break lights will be more visible (don't want to get too much s*** from the cops!) Anyway, I was looking at this site and i was wondering if anybody had bought any of these lights http://www.superbrightleds.com/tail-brake-turn.html
Thinking about the 7443-xHP3 LED bulb for my break lights. Just wondering if they're as intense as they claim they are.

Thanks guys!

stock bulbs provide the best output, ESPECIALLY is you plan on putting a smoke overlay on your lights - unless you do a full-on custom led retro-fit project, i wouldn't bother trying to switch anything out

I found when I installed the full-radius LEDs in my Frontier that they didn't make much use of the surrounding reflectors, yielding much less total light than the incandescents that they replaced. They were bright at the bulb, but sent no significant light around the inside of the housing.

The only real way to improve on incandescents is to get a taillight designed around the LEDs, like the ones they're making at car-led.com. Unfortunately, they don't have much of a website and the owner is in China, which makes me skeptical of using them.

If I were you, I'd save the money you'd spend on bulbs and put it towards real LED tails when they become available from a U.S. source. If anyone wants to chime in with a different company, please do...I don't know of one.

wow...honestly didn't think the stock bulbs were that powerful!
Always thought LED's was the way to go

Thanks for the info!

LEDs are the way to go, but the lens housing needs to be designed to utilize them. There are great advantages to LEDs, but you can't just throw them in something not designed for them and expect them to work.
