Leaky rear washer nozzle?

Do any other P5 people get a fluid streak down their rear window when they take off?

Everytime I gun it at a light or whatever I have to wipe the rear window.

Some people do on their p5's. On our cars it is a natural result of the way that the hose that carries the windshield wiper fluid was built into the car. It should only happen when there is still wiper fluid in the hose, in other words, when you have recently sprayed the back window. If you don't use wiper fluid on the back window, the hose will pretty much dry up and you shouldn't have any more fluid streaking. I haven't used the rear wiper fluid in months and subsequently haven't had any streaking in that entire period of time.

yah see i wouldnt mind that problem....but see mine just doesnt work PERIOD!....i have to go check it out if the nozzle is like plugged up with dirt or anything :(

I didn't say it was a biggie... just wondering if my car was special. Obviously it's just the force doing it. Not concerned... just wondering.

your car wets itself when you 8-ball shift it. that's a good thing, i think.

Similar issue on my M Coupe. Rear washer leaked fluid during acceleration. BMW fix was to install a one-way check valve in the line to the washer nozzle.
(I wouldn't hold my breath on a TSB from Mazda on this)

mine used to do it more then it does now? it still leaks when i really punch it from a stop but otherwise its pretty much gone, mabye fluid is low? (shrug)

OMGHI2U!!!!! LOL. JK yeah it used to happen till i let my fluid res run empty. I dont have and damn front ones anyways. I didnt feel like drilling holes in my new hood. The reason it does it is because of the roof line. Like goobers mazda made it run in the roof and the nozzle is a little lower than the line is. Everytime you punch it it acts like a syphon. Walla theres instant water. Used to piss me off.
