Leak between engine and auto transmission

Hi, has anyone experienced this issue...A leak between the engine and auto transmission on a Mazda2 Skyactiv G 1.5L 2020? It only has 18,000 kms. Thanks!

Possibly a rear main seal. It can happen to any make, model, or brand.

Should not still be under the 5 year 60K mile powertrain warranty?

It is barely over 5 years now, it is a very small leak, is it worth it to dismantle the transmission

Absolutely. It will only get worse. What was the actual purchase date? If it's within the 5 year powertrain warranty I'd get it to Mazda right away.

It is a japan import not purchased directly from local agent, didn't know the exact purchase date all i know is that the Y.O.M is 2020

Contact Mazda and find out. Could be the difference between having to pay for the repair or not. Id act quickly if I were you.
