I'm thinkin about going with either a 32" or 37" lcd or goin w/ the panasonic 42" plasma?
Any opinions?
Also, would it be a problem to hang either of these over a fireplace? Clearly i'm a noob...

I fear the LCD might have a badd off axis picture when looking at it from bellow.

goku4658 said:1)Not sure on the height of the fireplace yet. My gf just bought a house and we're moving in sometime in August. I was shopping for tvs and I just realized yesterday that the heat might ruin the tv if I mount it above the fireplace. I'll hafta go sometime and measure it.
2) Good call about the LCD. I think I'm leaning towards 2 Panasonics. The 42" Panasonic TH 42PD25U/P or the 37" Panasonic TH 37PD25U/P. Cnet gave the 42" good reviews, but the 37" might be enough for how far away we'll be sitting and its about $350 cheaper!
Thanks for the help, 1sty, you rule!

$1,594.78
Panasonic PT-37PD4-P 37" Plasma TV
$1,414.78
for the difference I would go for the 42" unless there's no space

are those prices from that link u posted above? cuz the cheapest i saw the 37" was from an online store for $1700 something and they didn't have it in stock... hook me up w/ where u got those prices from, i'd really appreciate it!

Sorry plasma owners; you lose and many of you guys with plasma info are completely wrong. Here is the website; end of discussion. http://www.cheap-plasma-tv.com/plasma-vs-lcd-tv.htmhttp://www.cheap-plasma-tv.com/plasma-vs-lcd-tv.htm
