Actually, I'd like to see if someboby could modify the doors to open like minivans. the fronts slide forward, the rears slide back, all remotely operated. No more door sticking out in traffic when parallel parked, and no worry of hitting the car next to you in a tight spot.
You might be able to do that with the back doors if you installed a track along the rear quarter panel. There is no place to put that in the front though - I doubt that the front doors could be entirely supported from the bottom...
On a slightly different topic, I see that the "vendor" of this "information" appears to be participating in some sort of eBay feedback scam. I suppose it's old news - I just hadn't seen it before.
They have sold four "items" - all four conveniently marked "private".
ALL the items they "bought" have been "free info" offers asking only that they give positive feedback.
I guess the real problem with this system is that after a while eBay no longer records what the "item" was, so there is no way to verify if the "good feedback" is legit or not.
Is this simply an exploitation of an incomplete audit trail?
Any kit you buy is gonna be more or less a waste of money. I have talked with the owner of Body Werks (Larry) and he has put Lambo door hings on civics, ford lightings, nsxs, and integras. It cost about $2000-4000 to do and a few weeks in order to get proper placement and fit.
i have always thought lambo doors would look sweet on a P5 that was lowered.. especially for a show car.. because with the rear harch opened at the same time.. it would be badass..
id like to see someone else do it before me.. or maybe someone who can do a clean photoshop of it first.. id rather have turbo for that money tho....
No way!! I was just thinkin 'bout lambo doors. Have the 2 front swing up normal way and the 2 rear swing the other way. It'd look weird but I think it'll catch attention at the shows.
