My girlfriends birthday is fast approaching and I have no clue on what to get her.

I have been with her going on 8 years and we are both 22. We recently moved in together in our 1st home.

She is a vet tec and a student. She isn't into car stuff or anyhting simple or inexpensive for me :(. Jewlery is a possibility but she has a decent amount and her step father thats best friend owns a jewelry store always gets her necklasses and rings that would shame anything I can get my hands on.

I figure gift certifacates are just weak and she has more clothes then she could ever wear.

Flowers are maditory in my mind so they will be involved regardless.

Any thoughs?
What would you ladys like for your birthday?

not a lady... but i hope i can still suggest.

perhaps a weekend at a spa? massage, manicure, pedicure...etc...
then a romantic dinner?

NO DAMN PETS!

She want s adog as do I but our scheduals are caotic to say the least.

Take her to a play..

DO YOU KNOW ME AT ALL!!!!!?????????

(rofl)

She's not a "play" person either. Now a balatte is another subject altogether but she will no I am hating every second of it. WHould giving her 2 tickets to a ballette so she could take a friend be a bad thing?

ok, you've been with her for 8 years... you're moved in together... now is the time for a pet. it shows you are willing to take the next step. the sacrifices you have to make when you get a puppy will test the mettle of your relationship. it'll show her you are willing to make a family with her. sheesh man, it's about time!

or get her a cat. cats are super easy maintainence.

awww, that sucks, a lil puppy would be PERFECT

It does, I had to leave my dog (tundra) with my parents when we moved. I missed him and he was my dog.

He's Akita and almost purely Japanese. We both want another Akita allthough she is dieing for a Boxer but I hate them.

What is the price limit you are looking at?

How about a weekend trip to Washington DC, or Boston, or exciting Delaware?

How about ring on her finger? That is one she won't get from daddy.

We already have 2 cats. Bubba and Daphnie. They are deformed rescue cats. They are cool but she is actualy slightly allergic to them.

I knew that was coming.
Well for our last anniversary I did take her to Boston and after a fairly good day we went back to the hotel a bit tipsy. She tripped opening the hotel room door and SMASHED into the door handle with her nose. She broke it! Blood everywhere adn she was in the worst pain of her life. We spend the next 5 hours in the hospital. I had spent $500 for that weekend that ended so badly. We where staying in one of the Swiss Hotels best rooms.

How about a nice dinner with her family and closest freinds where you proclaim romantic sentiment to her in front of everyone?

Tell her why you love her and all that in front of her father, that'll do it!

It's been eight years. Cough up a ring. :D A simple gold band doesn't cost a lot, but I'll bet it would mean the world.

Julie and I got married at 22(she was 21)...Plus there's no need to set a date, or even get Married! It would just be a little token of Craig's love. :)
