LoL if theres nothing to brag about then, why are you comparing your old car to your new car? Our cars are way less "superior" comapred to a M3. Your Bragging about how fast your old car was... You Just OWNED yourself because you drive a MSP.
motha fuccin' word.

drove my friends 99 prelude around this weekend. The tranny in that car is perfect. Hondas sure know how to make a great gearbox.

If you liked that tranny go test drive a TSX. Damn thing was by far the best tranny I ever used.

yeh i owned myself. My civic was a better performer then my new msp. I just couldn't stand working on highly modded cars anymore and i replaced it with this. The mazda is a lexus compared to my modded civic. I'm getting too old to be driving a hondachallange race car.

Try racing a GSR with a greddy tdo5-18G at 6.5psi. It will destroy you. Comparing a N/A car to a modded turbo car isn't exactly fair.

I used to own a 99 civic with a td04-15g and with only 14psi of boost i could make a guy in a z06 piss in their pants. Honda motors make so much power when boosted.

....ahahhaha...sure....

so you trapped around 117mph with that little dinky turbo?.......I have raced many motor swap and turbo civics and a GSR with a turbo that ran 12.8 at 110.....and they never gave me a good run....

you sware every one that drives a car can put down magazine times.......

I've seen plenty of LS1 owners puting down low 14's. Pretty much point less arguing with ignorant people that believe their msp is a great gift from god.

ofcourse your gonna win with 12psi of boost.

Right so the new lamborghini has no turbo but pulls 497hp.... guess it's not cool to compare it to the new supercharged GT that pulls 500hp?

Point being this car stock for stock would kick my ass it was mod'd, i was mod'd, I walked him by over a bus length.

You can make a Z06 piss its pants? So can every ported or moderately mod'd 3rd gen rx7. You're assuming I know nothing about fast cars and that I"m blindly bragging about beating a random car. Check my sig bud. With the amount of money you probably put into your Civic to hang with a Z06 my RX7 would be running high 10's.

Don't have to try and be an elitest prick. Comparing a 170hp turbo charged car to a 200hp NA is reasonable.

Go troll elsewhere

A good friend of mine has a 2001 NBP Type R. AEM Intake, DC header, gutted cat, and 3in exhaust with an N1 Turbo Muffler. He also runs 18 degrees timing, an advance of 2degrees over stock.
His car tears my MSP up right now. On 10psi its close, but he still walks a car or 2 from 40-90, just gets worse after that.

His b18c5 motor is a very high compression N/A motor that makes 195hp, and 135tq at peak. Our stock motor is a turbo 2.0L that makes 170/160. His car weighs about 2500lbs, and ours 3000, both with driver.
Type R's are faster. Stock for Stock anyways. Now, with turbo thats easy to overcome, as you can see. 12psi, and an intake is enough.
The MSP and Type R also have similar handling capabilities.

Both are awesome cars, so when you get a good race like this, its a good kill, regardless of n/a vs boost, if both cars are modded.

Try running a stock type r vs a stock msp. See who gets their butt whooped.

Exactly.... so my 170hp car has managed to catch up with a car probably pulling 210 with its mods.... thus the enjoyment of racing. A car previously out of my cars league is now walkable.

Why are you guys even arguing about this?
Does it really matter?

Lets take the madlib approach.
My ___ beat a _____ that had ___, ___, ___, and ___!
I only have ___, ____, ___, and ___.
I beat ____ him by almost ____ lengths.

You said you turned up your boost

Right.... through mods my car has managed to catch up to a 200hp car. Meaning my cars HP has caught up. I didnt mean my car at 170hp physically caught up with the car.

How true & fitting that is.

Its fun too watch:

Lets take the madlib approach.
My 89 Geo beat a 2000 U-haul that had a upgraded turbo, APC tailights, Carbon fiber wheels, and stand alone Tachometer managemenrt!
I only have BOV, axle foward, Nos sticker, and a christmas tree air freshener.
I beat him by almost 7 football lengths.

Nice to see the auto-x. We just did a setup of Koni 2812's for a S2000 that ran 1 sec faster with these shocks as opposed to his Koni Street Shocks and Supercharger. Talk about Big Performance. Now that hes going back to Honda Challenge hes going to break the Track record which was like 1:31. He's running 1:25 all day long.
