so i replaced my battery after it died and now the keyless doesnt work. is there anyway to reset the s*** without going to a dealer?

should have the box under the dash, but i dont know why your keyless wouldnt work, unless u blew a fuse

yea its not a fuse, it needs codes reset in the remote. same thing happened to my other remote when i changed the battery. it just sucks cause the serv dept is closed when i get off work, and not opened on the wknd

when it says press the drivers switch three times, lock or unlock or it doesnt matter?

i'm sure it doesn't matter, if not you have a 50% chance. trial and error man, just like the SAT's

well i tried it 20 times before i gave up. anyone actually do this sucessfully?

so if you replace the batterey does this happen to everyone.....damn that sucks cause i was wanting to get an optima batterey pretty soon and i dont want to have to freaking re-program my damn key-less entry......DAMN the MAN....

um, battery on the remote. and it shouldnt happen all the time then either i dont think.

When I went to the dealership to obtain a 2nd set of keys the guy just pressed the locks a few times and while doing so held down the locks on the keyless entry. It sort of reconfigured itself. I am not sure what sequence he did but I am sure a mazda tech could tell you. How about calling them during a break from work?

Do you have the manual? I have yet obtained a manual for the p5 just wondering if it had the keyless entry information in it?

(I don't mean the owners manual, the real manual from like Mazda or something)
Haynes,etc...
