Key fob program procedure (2008 CX-9)?

2008 CX-9, looking for the procedure to program my new key fob. Do I need the other keys?

If so do they need to be reprogramed at the same time or should I reprogram them to help with connecting with the car? They're starting to not work.

Does anyone have the procedure to save me a trip to the dealer?

What I tried that didn't work was:
Open door
Turn on ignition three times in ten seconds
Open close door 3 times....doors will automatically lock

This didnt happen and the new fob doesn't work

Do I need the old fob (credit card) in the car. If so do I need two of them?

Is this the right/wrong procedure?
