Does anyone know if it's legal in California to keep a bat or other weapons in your trunk for self-defense? :)

i dont know about california but I keep knifes and s*** all over my car, in febuary when i get my permit to carry a gun with me at al times, all keep my Desert Eagle in the car with me.

Just put a glove, ball, and beat up shoes in their with it. It will be pretty self explanitory to a cop if he checks the trunk.

My brother just bought a Desert Eagle. That thing has alot of kick.

They are the greatest handgun i have ever shot. It took me awhile to get the aim down with all the kick, but after you empty a couple boxes of rounds you seem to get. I'm about 160 pounds when maybe I'm wet so when the gun weighs about 7-8 and with the .40 cal , it starts to hurt the hands.

the only other gun that has that much kick that i have shot., was a Isreali Arms .44. That thing was much louder then the DE. But the Desert Eagle is the best handgun I have ever shot. But I have yet to ever shoot a tec-9....

I have a cannon in the trunk and a lion i feed raw meat to in the back seat..

this has the laws for every state

HERE IS CALI's

Penal Code 12031.

(a)(1) A person is guilty of carrying a loaded firearm when he or she carries a loaded firearm on his or her person or in a vehicle while in any public place or on any public street in an incorporated city or in any public place or on any public street in a prohibited area of unincorporated territory.
Penal Code 12034.

(a) It is a misdemeanor for a driver of any motor vehicle or the owner of any motor vehicle, whether or not the owner of the vehicle is occupying the vehicle, knowingly to permit any other person to carry into or bring into the vehicle a firearm in violation of Section 12031 of this code or Section 2006 of the Fish and Game Code.

MY OPINION
If someone tries to attack me. I'll shoot him until i run out of bullets and worry about that misdemeanor later.

I've never been a huge Desert Eagle fan, mostly because of the size of the weapon. I like the Sig Sauer family of weapons, as well as the H&Ks, Glocks, CZ's, and Baretta/Taurus family, as well as the venerable 1911 .45 design, of which I've owned a half dozen or so. Currently the only handgun I own is a Sig 229 which is a phenominal pistol. Easy to shoot and never jams. I have my eye on a used Glock at the local gun shop (model 23) but who knows. I like the glocks alot for their rugged function and durability, but Sig's have all that with a much better trigger pull.

As for the bat in the car. Put some gloves in there too just incase. Concealed weapons in california are illegal. If the cop finds one, your going to jail for a long time. The only way to transport it is gun in the back, bullets in the glove box.

wow...here in alabama you get pulled over if your gun rack isn't full....

Officer says "Hey, I noticed your gun rack back there....one is missing. Someone steal it? no? Oh, Aight.....hey you Darleenes boy Cooter? Sum b****, I knew you was familiar."

IF AND ONLY IF you have a permit u can carry a weapon in a car.. but it has to be in plain site if the officer walks to your car....u can carray a bow in it.. no big deal.. lol but gun.. dont even try.. a bat.. ya y not.. just say your goin to play baseball

I would check that rule the permit is for a concealed weapon, at least in Florida.

As for the Dessert Eagles, they jam way to much I have a baby eagle and a 50 and they are good guns you can hammer nails with them, but like I said they jam a lot.
