The bf and I are pretty into kayaking, wondering if anyone else is.

He has a 16' Prijon Seayak and I a 16' Perception Eclipse...

Those are some awesome looking boats you have there!

I too dig the paddle. We have 12' Wilderness system tarpons. Use them inland and offshore. Ecotouring is fun stuff. Good exercise. Lots of cool animal life and scenery. Used to have to carry them on top of the P5 with hullaports but wasn't too sturdy for frwy action. Here's how I carry them now...........

Whitewater kayaking has been my most enjoyable hobby since I started about 6 years ago. Right now I have 3 boats...a dented Riot Magnum, a dented Pyranha Ammo, and a wavesport project. I enjoy creeking way more than playboating. The only river I've paddled outside the SE is the Upper and Lower Gauley. Since being a father of 2 girls, I don't get to paddle as often these days and am starting to get rusty!

Man I've always thought kayaking is cool, but I have never had an opportunity to try it. I have gone canoeing though.

Have you been to the charlotte whitewater center yet? You should check it out, they have rafting trips there as well. Lots of fun, and safer than a wilderness run.

I've been to Charlotte many times (I go about every three weeks) but I haven't ever had a chance to go there. I would like to, not only to try Kayaking, but some of the other activities they have there.
