kartboy exhaust hangers

it was installed last sunday... simple job, just remove the oem pieces and put in the kartboys.... didnt even have to unbolt the MS muffler.. they're the harder flexible rubber

problem i had:
- muffler banging against bumper during hard launches and power shifting(??)
- muffler too wobbly for my taste

result:
- no more banging,
- exhaust sounds much better... (dun ask me why.. just does..)
- much better throttle response
- feels a lil shakier inside.. but if you aint the driver, it's barely noticable shake... just up front...

got them from richie b4 he moved his shop... 50cdn shipped to my door... comes in 2 sets (4 pieces), 12mm and 10mm, (the diameter of the holes where you plug into your muffler and car) i used the 12mm set.. i'll see how they hold up for a few more weeks..

the 12 mm is for the hangars near the muffler, the 10mm is for the hangars under the shifter.

Dam! Just noticed my MSP muffler actually has scrapes and rub marks from when it hits the bumper.

yeah mine has those scrapes too but i never really thought anything of it, is this hanger set worth the money?

at 28 plus shipping I dont see how its not, especially with aftermarket exhaust if your spending 200-400bux on an exhaust system another 28 plus shipping to make sure it doesnt rub and lengthens the lifs of the hangers and exhaust I cant see how its not worth it.

When I go after market I will do this also.

how close was your exhaust to the body b4 ? mine's barely a quarter of an inch.. im thinking of getting these too

never heard of hangers making better throttle responce but you never know LOL

at the moment we only have black hangers, we have to buy in LARGE numbers to make the price breaks we have. the Subie guys order them a lot more so we could do the two colors.

we might have another color later on but i cant guarentee it. i think that we'll only have Black for the evo too.

tom i emailed you about possibly making bushings for the bottom of the shifter, not the endlinkage, but i never got a response. any chances? reason being, is i like the way the shifter feels when you first install it, not once it wears in as much.

lolololz... i've also been thinking bout why the past day or so.. (b/c tons of ppl been asking @_@) i believe it's the same concept as the AWR engine mounts... they are JUST MOUNTS so how would IT also improve?? same concept, dun you agree??

more restricted movement of the parts, the smoother power will flow through... @ least that's what i think so far.. correct me if i'm wrong...

and no it doesnt give more distance between the bumper and muffler tip, b/c i didnt go and install my MS muffler from scratch, i just removed rubbers and replaced it... so same position...

just the oem hangers, if you go under the car, they're soft, you can squeeze them w/ your hand... and feeling the underside of the round curve in the back feels like all scratched up/a lil melted... and i dun wanna see the paint start to crack up it's rear end...

seriously... how much $$ have you spent on your car so far?? this is only 30$$...

i've had it w/ dealer alwayz telling me everyone else is the same blahblahblah... nothing we can do w/ your muffler...blahblahblah... and since i got the deal shipped @ a good price.. why not?? it came in 2 sets and i could sell the other and it'll even cut the cost down...

remember 30$$ FOR 2 SETS!!! and it's from kartboy.. would you think they'd sell some crap to us??? i think not..
