K-Sport Coilover Install Pictures

the distributor for Ksport which was Trix Motorsports went out of biz, so basically its going to be hard to get them, only places that you can get them is ebay and apex motorsports. i know this because i was going to get them for my biz, but they went out of biz shortly after. ksport is owned by D2 Racing Sports. its the same thing just diff color and tag. Speedstash sells them...http://www.speedstash.com/d2racing/d2_coilover_kits.html
I am going to get an account with the american dist for D2, so i can go from there, later

Marketing. K2 must have been another company.

from everything i have heard, read on forums and talking to apex, they are the same, both make in taiwan, and dist throughout.

D2 and KSport ARE the same! Damn, no more of those? I will have to switch to overpriced FLT-A1's...............grrr or pay DOUBLE for D2??????

Hey focus i want to pick up a set as well, but i was wonering if the guy you got them from on ebay had any other sets, or if i just need to get them from apex. If you could pm me his ebay addy, or your ebay auction so i could email him i would appreicate it!

I got the K-sports on my car for a few days so i'll give it a quick review.

I'm not even sure what spring rates I've got on the car because i bought these off of another forum member. I remember reading that you can specify what spring rate you want when you purchase the coilover. You can buy other spring rates as well separately.

On first impression they ride pretty decently. Whatever spring rate i have on the car right now it feels a lil too stiff for everyday driving. I can deal with it, but its just a lil more than i'd like.

Performance wise they are great, no roll whatsoever. The car feels planted and it really gives confidence. My only complaint is the way our Proteges were designed. These coilovers were made so that you can change ride hight through the perch. But because our endlinks connect to the damper itself, you can't utilize the hight adjustment through the perch. This makes kinda limits the adjustments for suspension travel, damper stroke, and corner weight adjustments =T What I'll get in the future is adjustable endlinks so that can fix the problem.

Otherwise these are great coilover for the price. If people are having troubles finding these and don't know where to order. You can still order them from D2 overseas. I don't know whats going on with Ksport USA. Kinda worried about the warranty and all.

This is the review I have been waiting on! Have you adjusted the dampinging on it to see if that makes the ride more bearable? How low have you lowered your car? Any pics? Mine get here tommorow!!! I guess i need to get ajustable endlinks now.

*edit*

ALso curious, did you buy another rear endlink to get the suspension to work, or what?

Anyone know the cheapest place to get adj. endlinks? AWR is 65.00 a peice, and i'm assuming we will need one set for the front and one for the rear.

You are talking about the rear adjustment right? Cause in front the sway bar will actually move a little giving some adjustment.

The endlinks just wont move around enough to make a significant adjustment. You can buy adjustable endlinks from D2 for $30 each.

I foolishly bought non-adjustables (I didn't think about it at the time) from D2 for $20 each.

The front is not too bad in terms of lowering and damper stroke, its just to my liking. My only problem is with the rear where i want to buy an adjustable endlink to utilize better damper stroke.

Okay just to clarify this before i buy the wrong thing. I am going to buy AWR Adj. End links.

Do I need a Front and Rear Set, or Two Rear sets (accoridn to focus, the rear fits the front end).

Thanks for your help.

The only problem with the front endlinks were that they were too long. If you are purchasing adjustable endlinks they SHOULD be adjustable to the correct height. If you're in doubt just match up the size of the rear endlinks for the front setup, the length is about what you want.

OK so we finally put the car down on the ground, BAD NEWS

We snapped one of the endlinks up front. ( I used the rear ones up front )

So the only solution is the AWR endlinks for the front.
