K-Sport Coilover Install Pictures

I think they're great for track driving... but a little too stiff for the street. There are no pops, clunks or squeeks, but I have noticed that the rubber spring seats wear out and start to break pretty quickly. I brought that to K-sport's attention, and they gladly sent me new ones. They were made of the same material, so i donno how long they'll last.

I kind of want to know too. Are there any updates from anyone that has these coil-overs?

I've put 3500 miles on mine so far... I've had some pop's from the front when turning the wheel at slow speed, but after jacking the car in the air and resetting the suspension down it had gone away... I think mine are comfterble for daily driving, and our roads are not great. No clearence issues, and they were able to get checked into factory spec for toe/camber etc.

Handling, well, if you think your stock MSP handles like its on rails... put these on and it will shock you how much better it can be (and thats on the softest setting). Great Product.

Did you utilize awr end links?

This is acceptable. I will be getting these to replace my seriously blown stock struts. I have over 160,000 miles on them. When I can afford these, I will get them. Anyone want to help me out? Send money to my paypal account: LinuxRacr@comcast.net

Adjust them to theeasiest setting. Thats what I use for daily driving and yes they are firm but very streetable. Make sure you turned them the right way.

I have a question about caster adjustment. According to the shop manual there is some caster adjustment by rotating the top mount (ie changing which bolts go into which holes). Is this adjustment lost or retained with the K-Sports. 2-11-2 of the suspension section is the page number that describes this.

Theres no caster adjustment with the K-sports. Pillow ball top hats.. you lose the stock adjustment. I was under the impression that rotating the stock top hats only gave you slight camber adjustment.

Well I'll be perfectly honest I don't really understand how much it is due to the fact I don't know what the measurement for caster means but this is what it says.

Camber and Caster Adjustment
1. Jack up the front of the vehicle and support it on safety stands.
2. Remove the mounting block nuts.
3. Push the mounting block downward, and turn it to
the desired position.
4. Install and tighten the mounting nuts to the
specified torque.
Tightening torque
4762 Nm {4.76.4 kgfm, 3446 ftlbf}

Direction indicator position Adjustment valve from original position
Camber angle | Caster angle
A +30' | 0
B +30' | +30'
C 0 | +30'

Anyone have updates on these things? I'd like to know how you all are faring with these after several months.

If you wanted different spring rates you could alway have them custom made. I know different springs for GC's are $50 each.

Once I got them fitted there were fine. The end link tabs are still a b**** and wish I had mp3/msp specific ones instead, but you get what you pay for.

My front sway bar still makes noise when turning at low speeds because its not happy being moved by the endlinks from its stock position, but it works and best of all, stopped squeaking over bumbs.

Basically, if you can figure out the front endlink problem its a fantastic coilover. My are completely broken in and they REALLY soften up after the alignment and a coulple months of driving.

Hrrm. Sounds like you either lowered the car too much, or your endlinks are too long.

I have adjustables on mine, and only lowered about an inch, so I can't say for sure.

I have AWR adjustables already adjusted to the smallest setting. I have only a 2" drop. Do you know how long the AWR at the shortest length are? I think I am going ot have to make some of my own that are even shorter.
