K&N Mazdaspeed3 Typhoon SRI - add another intake to the list

I've always purchased k&n filters and intakes for my cars/trucks/atv. I always got a noticeable hp gain from the stock filters. If I didn't have my MS intake I would purchase one just because how great of a product they are

K&N always embellishes there HP "estimated gains" on their products.

They post a dyno sheet. It isn't embellished. It also isn't a gain in "peak" horsepower. It is the largest gain anywhere along the curve. At about 4,300 or so, the horsepower is up that much. It really does broaden the curve nicely when you look at the graph.
You are also paying for the extra fit and finish. That heat shield (it also looks like it could help channel incoming air from under the hood) makes the install look very nice. Really cleans up the area instead of just having a filter hanging out in the middle of nowhere.

if you look at the gain it does not occur at the peak horsepower. they are just quoting the peak gain...kinda BS if you ask me
