I don't remember who did it, but someone drilled a whole in a large hose clamp and used that so the air temp sensor wouldn't pop out.

wow, great idea^ and in a MSP the MAF and the IAT are both in the intake, but since i relocated my MAF to the pressure pipes, this kinda makes it a problem

but yea, im def going to try that hose clamp idea

and a little update, got 2 alum pipes on the car to replace the heavy rusted steel pipes
they look pretty good and they are like 3 times lighter lol
ill have some pics in a sec, and the ground clearance is pretty small with the new route i took so i may have to raise my car up and run my 17's for a while

^will do

annd pics as promised

the finish isnt great, but i paid 50 bucks for them, i can take the time to spray them again
Photo0604.jpg

the split coupler is just so the pipe doesnt rattle against the frame
Photo0605.jpg

my awesome brackets for my FMIC lol

EDIT: oh btw, this is just temp routing, its kinda ghetto rigged and goes from 2.5" to 2" it a bunch of places
i have to order new couplers so i can put the rest of the piping on

Ok so i went to drive my car after i filled it up with the new 80/20 coolant mixture, drove fine for about 5 mins, then it just started bucking and driving like s***, during acceleration the car drove fine, built boost to 6-7 like expected, but then cruising around the car has like a seizure
the AFR's fluxuate from 13.2-14.1 super fast, and the car just stutters like crazy, once it starts, it continuously does it until i let off the gas

according to the service manual, and from me doing a guess and check list, ive narrowed it down to a faulty fuel pump or a fuel pump short, which makes sense
makes sense cuz i tried removing the fuel pump a while back, but the screws just stripped out on me so i put the connectors back on, and possibly the connectors didnt connect right..idk, its possible

any input from other people?

i don have the buckin or stutterin your expericing but it does sound like possibly fuel pump, filter maybe?.. injectors or egr? lmao jus throwin out ideas.. have u tried like lucas or any thin like that?

nope, havent tried any fuel injector cleaner or anything, i only fill up with shell gasoline and it has detergent already in the gas so i doubt thats it
it could be the fuel filter though, where is the fuel filter on these cars?

also can anyone point me to the purge solenoid valve? ive been looking through the service manual and cant find any info on its location

also today, looked at the connections on the fuel pump, looked to be on there good
ill mess around with the car tomorrow and see if i can find anything wrong with it

so i did a ton of research, even on different forums, and found something that sounds exactly like my problem
car drives great under WOT but stumbles while cruising, according to the mustang forums, this is a sign of a bad TPS, so ill check the voltage and the resistance of that tomorrow, and hopefully that is the problem
im tired of working on this car in 90* heat, wish me luck!

update since im on here, car is driving great, boosts up to 8 psi easy (turned it down to preserve gears) and the stuttering/stumbling is gone
turned out to be the purge valve solenoid purging gas fumes into the intake manifold when it shouldnt be (loose wire)

speaking of gears, my 2nd to 3rd shift is getting kinda iffy, i can feel it kinda grinding on something when i do the shift above 5k, all the other gears are great, just that gear change
the transmission is pretty old (216K miles) so its time to start looking for some used low mileage transmissions i guess lol

and cuz people like pictures in a build thread, here you go
