I've talked to my wife about a turbo in the future and she says there is no way is she going to let me turn the "Family Car" into a racer.
My logic is this:
You have to take the kids to school. Why not get to sleep a little later and still be able to get the kids to school on time. (this is can also be used for the following reasons: soccer practice, ballet, cheerleading, etc)
You have had a long day at work. You go pick the kids up from school and they are screaming and fighting, and making your afternoon Hell in the car. Why not be able to get them home and out of the car quicker than you would normally.
I'm sure there are other reasons but after I was about halfway through the second explaination to her she turned her head and started staring out the window. I would like to think she was smiling but I can't be so sure.
It might make a better sale, too, since I am sure that Mazda will warranty the work.

yeah rumors have been circling for a long time about a bolt on kit...but no announcements from mazdaspeed to confirm...
tex--take the advice of my brother in law--"what your sister doesn't know about can't hurt her and she can't hurt me"...lol...this worked for almost everything until he got the motorcycle...

I like that theory but wife knows a little about cars, too. If we are driving somewhere and someone passes us with a turbos she can tell.
She's amazing. She can tell if it's a turbocharger or a supercharger. I can't tell unless they really get on it.

I Can't use the "You'd get to the sales faster" cause she drives a Volvo S70 GLT!!! The "Toy Car" is strictly mine. She says she likes it, but has only driven it twice since I got it. (Yet another reasonI love my P5!)
I was thinking of employing the "What she doesn't know won't hurt her" for an intake and cat-back, ya think I'd get away with it?
A Mazda turbo with a warranty would be too sweet! It's a Garrett Turbo Right? At worst maybe Garrett will sell it as a kit? That would still be better than any other aftermarket brand, essentially factory.
