Whats up guys....Long time since I posted. Its snowing pretty bad here in NJ. I never had a chance to take my rims off yet. I know Im stupid. But I wanted to take her out in 4 inches of snow. Ill tell you what. IT HANDLES AWESOME.. I went about a 1/2 around my development and didnt skid at all. Just had to share that:D

I live in Jersey too, but my p5 skid about 3 feet and when i stopped i heard a clunking noise.. i wonder what it could be

I really FEEL for you guys!

72 degrees here in Biloxi yesterday - Made me sad that I've already put the hardtop on the Miata ;)

Don

matttrix.....if you hit the brakes hard, then it was your ABS kicking in...its makes a loud clunking noise....kind sounds like the front end is gonna fall off! But if it made the clunk once you came to a complete stop, then i'm stumped:confused:

I don't know about down there, but it was pretty cold this morning here in Jackson... Probably 40 or so!!

I gotta give you Northern guys credit, I would freeze to death in sub-zero temps. Snow is fun though, for a day or two.. :)

if your car is lowered, it could possibly be either of your sway bar end links. those things are so weak. i already snapped one and bent the other. got them replaced under warranty of course. if not, then i'm not sure what it is! LOL....

The ABS on our '03 barely makes any noise at all. It sounds like something is rubbing when it's operating. No clunks, vibrations, or loud noises at all. I know it's working. Jim

Speaking of snow in NJ, I'm feeling it too. Didn't even dare drive into work today......afterall I've only had my P5 for 2 weeks now.
Now my other fear is roadsalt. Does anyone know how detrimental it is to your clear coat/paint? How about undercarriage- anyone get routine undercarriage cleanings? What can I say I guess I'm a tad on the OCD side when it comes to my cars. :p

Well, I damn near slid under someone this morning coming off the turnpike (read my last post in the disabling ABS thread). Fortunately I had my RPMs up and in 2nd gear so some engine breaking kept me dent free.

My car handled better than I thought but still horrible this morning... You're probably in 4 inches of fresh unpacked snow... get on the turnpike where it's all muck and packed slush and see how you fare while changing lanes... give us a reality check then...

you could be right Somamp3... but i also felt a strong vibration from the brake too

My mom drives a MPV and the same thing happened to her

whats up guys

I'm From north jersey. off of RT 208 if any ones knows where that is. Where are the rest of you guys from.

Any way my MP3 suck so bad in the snow. found this out the hard way last year when i was sides ways on the road when i tried to brake.

Good thing i have a dad with a Ford F-350. hehe

put that puppy in 4WD and it likes snow. whats snow. haha

well im missouri it is snowing pretty good. we got about 7 or 8 inches. last year i had a legend that wouldnt make it out of my driveway.(the driveways is about 1/2 mile long and some pretty steep hills) but the protege 5 took about two tries and she made it out. i am pretty pleased. getting back down the driveway was interesting though. anyways..........
