Got the engine apart.
Took block to machine shop, they're waiting on me, and I'm waiting on Pistons
Ordered a NEW crank from a Probe. No miles, never installed...only to be refunded my money because the seller had sold it BEFORE RELISTING IT...FML
Ordered OE sized Main Bearings thinking I'd get a new crank...nope...now I'm stuck with OE main bearings that I'll have to send back! FML!
Went to salvage yard to have them pull me a crank. They refuse to break down a good engine...and wanted to charge me $650 for an engine with 183K on it. FML!!
Cant seem to figure out WHAT the part number is for a Forged crankshaft. I've found new cranks, but I'm not paying $400-600 for a cast crank. I don't care if it IS new. FML!!!
Ordered a SSAFC from a guy in Canada. Was quoted $320 shipped. It arrives, I'm not here. They leave me a note saying that it's going to be a COD Brokerage Fee due to shipping over the border.
After this brokerage fee, which is $32.54, I could have bought a NEW SSAFC. UUUGGGHHH FML!!!!
They bring it back today and require a check to complete delivery. I don't use checks...AGAIN...FML!!!!!
and now...I'm about ready to say F&@% this car and part it out. But I've already got the full rebuild kit, the block is at the machine shop, and I've got the K1 rods just...waiting. I'm out time...i'm out money...i'm out of mind is what I am.
