Well I could use some opinions/help.. Yesterday I installed my CS Downpipe and everything went pretty well. It took a friend and I 6 hours due to lack of tools. We had a lift though so everything was ok. Used PB blaster on the 02's and those came off very easily. The turbo studs however were lame. The shop closed about the time I was putting everything back on so we wheeled it into the parking lot and finished in the street lights =) I forgot to zip tie the o2 wires up, and came out missing a tmic nut, but its secure now. Just for the record, this install can be done without swivel ratchets lol. It takes a long time, but it can be done !

Impressions: I have CAI and rpmc inlet going in, and CS DP/RP/CBE going out. The sound is amazing. Its calm and deep at idle/low rpm driving but once you go WOT (well, I can't) it roars. The turbo spools up faster, its louder, this is a whole different vehicle.

Problem: Wheel spin in 1st and 2nd is on command, however I have run into a HUGE problem. If I go WOT in any gear 3rd or higher, whether it be downshift or running through, I get boost cut. Its automatic. any time, on command. The only reason I dont get it in 1st and 2nd is cause its limited. My dashhawk isn't working properly, but I've watched my PSI in upshift and downshift WOT and If I downshift I'm HOLDING 17 PSI and then creep to cut. If I run all the way through I see spikes of 20 and it wants to hold 18 or 19 but it cuts immediately. This is without a MBC or Tune of any kind. IS THIS NORMAL ? I also watched my AFR's and they seem ok.. 3rd gear goes to high 11, and 4th dips down into low 11. Now Ive got another question-- I have the AccessPort on the way... Will this solve my boost cut troubles ? -- Any input would be appreciated. - Scizzle Nistles

Nice, I bet your car sounds awesome. I'm bout to purchase a rpmc turbo inlet. Did you get yours ceramic and powder coated? Hopefully the cobb pa will help out with the boost cut

Sounds like a knuckle buster install but congrats! BTW how exactly does that wire piece that i hear about keep from throwing a CEL?

Im not too sure, my 02's came out with ease. The lower one has a bung so that its not in the exhaust flow. I have no CEL as of now but who knows about the future.. You have to remove alot of the tabs holding the o2 wires up, that keeps them from touching the DP and melting. I used a metal clamp for the lower one to hold it up, and routed the top one behind the aluminum looking heat shield/paper stuff..

I got a shop to do my cs dp/rp which was good cause an O2 was trashed, but they replaced for me. I also have the traction issue even with mm inserts, so I will be upgrading. I believe I am getting boost cut because when the boost crosses to about 16+ I start getting issues. I don't get cut in 3/4 gear even though I can spike as high as 20. In 5/6 I spike at 22. I can either hang just under 20 for too long or creep up after leveling out causing cut. To keep from spiking I go about 80% throttle (well.... about 80% pedal) until boost is between 10-15psi and then go WOT. This stop me from cutting immediately due to spike.

Am I sure mine is boost and not fuel cut... no. Do I think it's boost gauge by looking at my boost gauge, YES! Want to get tuned in the spring time
