Need some heat resistant foam stuff cause the long pipe is rubbing the master cylinder and the Injen BPV lil pipe. Anybody know what I can use?

Easy install, takes patience though which kind sucks. Only took it down the road once after the install but I did notice that my turkey was only apparent half the time and sometimes I would get a ppssshhhh instead.

Sweet dude!! they got there pretty damn quick ;). You bastard, those were supposed to be mine!! Mine! LOL. pull any harder? hold boost better?

Dude.. its not supposed to rub against the master cylinder..... check it man... oh yeah, order some HEAT WRAP from summit or something ionno haha, it works great.

Hey man they got here next day... thanks doode. Only got to take it down the road after the install and the only thing I really noticed was the reduction of the turkey. Imma go drive around later and hopefully I'll have some good news like... "It pulls harder and hold boost better!!!(rockon) " Just need to get rid of that rubbing on those 2 spots.... grrrr....

sweet, keep me posted. .....and you sounded all worried when I said they were goin out usps, lol ;)
USPS blows, they lost a turbo kit I was supposed to get for my other car, by the time they finally got it to me (2 months) I already had another one on(screwy)

edit: I know it is just one incident, but I still trust UPS more.

loosen the clamps and re position the pipes.all the pipes were made in the same jig so yours are no different then anyone elses, you just need to work with them.

don't leave them touching it will put a whole in the pipes, and you should NOT use heat wrap it defeats the purpose of having alluminum pipes.the pipes disapate heat, the wrap will hold it in all the way into your engine, then you knock, knock, all day long.

Wicked is right. Some repositioning should solve the problem. We all have the same pipes and mine fit perfect.

Bought some heat wrap and put it on the master cylinder to try to stop the rubbing. Still is rubbing though and scratching up my pipes. We already did readjust 2x last nite. If nobody else is having problems I'll have to try and adjust the long pipe one more time. There's just too much engine movement. When I hit first gear the engine thrusts down and towards the rear and keeps hitting it (sucker is way harder than the pipes too).

Imma install my Boost/Vac gauge tonite and guess I'll be readjusting at the same time. If anybody has resolve this problem by moving the pipes a certain way please let me know. Thanks...

hmmm i just checked out my pipes.. is it rubbing up top on the long pipe by the THROTLE BODY??? kinda close to there... against that SILVER THING ionno wat its called.... but i readjusted mine a bit.... imma try to adjust it more... it messed up... i didn't know it was rubbing.

(shrug) Yeah man it's right at the first bend all the way at the top. It should only be less than an inch from the metal circle thing (master cylinder); s***'s hella hard too. Engine just moves too much and it's forcing the pipe to hit it, looks pretty nasty w/ those scratches. If you guys haven't noticed might wanna check it out. Went all over town today trying to find some heat resistant foam to stick in between but haven't found anything so I just bought some exhaust wrap to try and pad it down (put it on the circle thing not the pipe). Still hitting though...

I haven't had one set rub the master cylinder to date. Readjust the pipes, they must be sitting wrong. Dont let them continue to rub... LMK if I can help.

but you don't have a Injen CAI.....
True. With the clearance I've seen with some of those installing these pipes w/ an injen I think he really needs to get motor mounts if his engine is moving around that much. Post pics if you can and then we can all see what's going on and maybe give you some ideas.

Pretty Cool Schnit!

My turkey is gone unless I want it (depending on the way I drive) with the Turbohose Hardpipes!!! Just wanted to let yall know. Don't know if I'll be switching out my bpv or adding a bov anymore... Thinking bout boosting though(headbang)

mine doesnt rub against the injen CAI but then again my dad installed it so I have no idea exactly how he made it work.
