I just hit 10,000 miles today on my way to work. Is anyone else anywhere near me so I don't feel as bad?

Then you drive a lot (spin)! Though I don't have a speed, I can say my 3 has been keeping me more then happy so far through my first thousands of miles.

Beating me and I thought I was getting up there haha. I got my car at the end of August as well and I'm nearing 7,600. Most miles I've ever put on a car in that short of time...loving every one of them (mj)

That's not terrible really. These days cars (well maintained, that is) are still good into the 100k's easy. It's all about the maintenance and how you drive them.

Oh yes and dumping huge turbos on stock internals might affect things a bit

Haha i dont mind putting all these miles on it. Its not a car that im going to re-sell. I'm a mechanic so i do all my repairs. I love this car more and more every mile i put on it.

That's the right attitude. I'd been wanting an MS3 for YEARS but could never find one in stock or didn't have the money. I told myself that I'm keeping this car as long as humanly possible. I'm not a certified mechanic but I can make do. If the car starts to die, I'll transplant a new engine and start fresh

I'm not going to drive it excessively but I'm definitely not going to keep it parked day in day out.

to me, mileage doesn't really matter. I think its cool to have a lot of miles because its like an achievement. The more miles, the more character the car has.
