Just Had Boost Controller Installed

:
2003 Spicy Orange MSP
I just had a greddy profec e-01 installed by alamo autosports in arlington, tx. beware not to let the boost on our cars creep over 10psi cause the fuel cut off can be violent under hard acceleration...think i fixed the problem i backed it down from 9.5psi to 9psi and set the peak at 9.6psi to avoid spiking... i also have a custom cai and the car pulls like crazy in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th from 5,000rpm to redline

i am having my fmic new piping 2 1/2 inch down pipe and test pipes and 2 3/4 inch exhaust with apexi canister being made right now should be ready in like 2 weeks

Nice man im still waiting for the aftermarket pipes to be made for me! Im not in a rush (except for my intake) :D what do you have done so far?

So you went with Alamo
They do very good custom work. So is 9 PSI ok
i'm running bout 7 right now
Yeah I've worked quiet a few people at .65-.67 bar

this was the first e-01 that they have installed so everything was new to all of us.....still have to fine tune everything when i go back for my downpipe and fmic gonna get brice to put it on the dyno.

So who's going to be the first to work around the fuel cut? It can't be that difficult, the ECU really doesn't need to know you're pumping 10+ PSI into the engine.

This Boost Controller business sounds sweet, but my concern is how will this engine hold up to 9+ lbs. boost.

I would try using a 3-bar GM map sensor....the voltage output would be the same at higher boost on a GM map sensor as would be lower on a Mazda map sensor.

Just a thought.

the funny thin is I didnt hit fuelcut at .70 (10.29 PSI) bar when i was trying to tune the gain. My boost controller cut it back down to 6PSI but no fuelcut. Oh yeah by the way 2 of my friends are running E01's right now if you have questions?

What tha...You were here in Arlington? I just was at Alamo the other day picking up my PDA Dyno. Larry, Brice and crew are pretty damn knowledgable most of the time.

I heard that the integral wastegate only worked to 6.9psi did you buy a external wastegate or is it holding up ok. i want to buy a boost controller if i don`t need a external wastegate
