Just got tinted! But have a Q...

I just got my car tinted over the weekend. Cost me $130 for all the windows. The owner recommended that I don't go too dark because of my dark interior and I'm glad he did. From the outside, the tint is very dark! Anyways, my question is about the rear defroster lines. They seem to stand out more now and at night time, they reflect a lot of light. I'm not sure if that's the correct way to describe it, but it's different than before. Will this eventually get better? I mean it's not a big deal because I can always just get used to it. Just wondering if this is normal. Thanks!

hmm i have never noticed that on mine. So, i am going to go with a yes , it does get better?

i never noticed any light reflecting on the defroster lines.. but yea it'll get better man.. i got 20% tints and they're pretty dark

No that doesn't get any better.

Let me make sure we're talking about the same thing. When you see headlights behind you, you see the reflection of the headlight against each rear defroster line right? It echos up and down?

My last car with tint did that and I hated it, but couldn't do anything about it. Haven't noticed anything like that on my OEM tinted rear glass now.

Pretty sure I know what you're talking about. I have 35% tint on mine and it went away after a while.

It's exactly as Silver Ecstasy describes it. I got 20% for the 2 back windows and the rear. It does seem like it's a little better today or maybe I'm just starting to get used to it lol.

I remember when I first got tint, I called and complained about that. They made a total mockery out of me, saying i'm "seeing ghosts and s***". Assholes..

ROFL - That's funny as s*** man...sorry (kiss)

I have 20% all around and I never saw any refraction off of the defroster lines. Maybe it's the type of tint?

Hehe, yeah it was funny when I look back on it. I didn't take it personally. I just wish they wouldn't have made it a big joke when I was asking some real stuff!

I had Solar Guard Titanium tint. 35% all the way around.

its inevitable. you're gonna see the lines over dark tint and light is going to reflect off them. its just the cost for tints :) and our slanted back windshield
