Just got My P5

just bought my P5. It's a 2002, Red with moonroof and Manual Transmission. It's so awesome ! I'm loving it. Drove it all weekend. I think me and this car are gonna have a long and happy life together. Now I just need to get the roof rack and a bug deflector.

I'll post a pic when i figure out how !! LOL

You'd better read this thread before you buy the roof rack. (The thread is for removal -- installation would be the reverse)

If you decide to buy one anyway, don't go to the dealer, 'cause they can't get one. Post in the For Sale/Group Buy section here and someone will be glad to sell you one.

BTW -- road noise is horrible with the OEM roof rack & a sunroof, too.

If you have to have a roof rack, I'd suggest a Yakima/Thule. Do a search on roof racks in the P5 forum -- there are a lot of cool setups people have put together.

Oh, yeah -- welcome! I love my P5. I thought I wanted a roof rack when I bought mine, too. However, I think the sleek look of the P5 w/o the rack looks really cool! I saw one just like mine with the rack a few months after I bought mine, and I haven't wanted one since!

interesting thread. But here in Canada the roof rack didn't come standard with the car. You have to buy it seperatly. My local dealer says he can get me one no problem. Besides, my love for my new P5 is second only to my love for mountain biking, so i need to transport my bike. But I'll be sure to check out the Thule and Yakima racks.
