After getting my new Parada Spec X tires installed I don't know how I lasted so long with those noisy Michelin Latitudes. There was probably a year of tread left on them but man were they loud. My only question is why do many CX-9's tend to go through tire so fast. The wear on my Michelins were very even but they were cupped and had bad runout on two of the four. Strange, is it the weight of the vehicle coupled with the wider low side wall tires? maybe its just a bad combination. This is the third set of tires for this vehicle and it has only 42k. - Weird. This time I tried a performance tire with a great rep and went with a slightly taller thinner tire 235/65R18's. Ride is softer and still responds well with the Parada's Spec X tread. Looks great as well.

I am very interested in these tires, but also worried about tread life on them. Currently I have nitto's which are great performance tires, but they are starting to get a little loud, and I know they are going to perform horribly this winter. @ 32k miles they had 8/32 front 8/32 rear, and now at 39k they have 7/32 front, 6/32 rear (recently moved the fronts to the rear).

Changed to Spec-X at 25K. Now at 43K, they look like there are still more than half thread depth left.
So, I would say that the Spec-X can easily last 40K or more. (idx=~420)
The OE only lasted 25K. (idx=~260)
The UTQ wear index is an objective comparison on tire wear (done by the Fed).
