just got back from the track!

so went the track in baytown.
on street tires on 116 and 15psi and ran a whoppin 14.4 at 105 with a 2.5(almost a 2.6) 60ft....that sucked bigtime...i launched at 3000 rpm and well 1st, 2nd, and half or 3rd were all ****** POINTLESS!!!!!
even with feathering.......

so i tried a little lower at 2000rpm and got a 14.7 at 103 with a 2.8 60ft...........
aahhhh who runs a ****** 2.5 or 2.8!!!!!**** the track lol....guess ill be back with some better tires.
next date the 7th or 8th....with some better tires..

i had worse 60's when i had the automatic tranny in, with brake boosting was a bad idea lol, just spin the s*** outa the tires, with the manual i pulled a low 2.3 though(s*** traction too). 3.0 i think with the auto.

using a simple horsepower calculator using your trap speed of 105 mph, there is an estimated 271 whp. That is if you and your car together with gas weighs 3000 lbs.

Not bad at all. You gotta learn to launch though. Are you running the stock tires still?

yah sucked for me....there is no way man....id have to launch at stock boost and then in the middle of 2 switch over or even 3rd.
i dont know ill figure something out....i tried feathering it the first time didnt work at all...well a little since it was better then the 2nd one.

DSBC(dual stage boost controller) switch it to like 8 when launcing then hit it to 15 when your done.

too much boost = not enough traction. At 17psi, i ran a 14.43 but at 12psi i ran a 14.1. i need to but that button for the profec b that lets you switch from high boost to low boost. 10psi in 1st and 2nd, and 20psi in third and fourth

**ps. do not boost your msp to 20psi, both the turbo and motor will go pop**

That aint a bad trap speed i guess. BTW remember you are trapping that because of your loss of traction, with a decent 60 foot your trap at most would be around 101-103, get some video.

yea ima get the remote boost switch for my profec b before i go back to the track.....with that mph mid to low 13's is all in my reach with out a worry.

Damn reading times always makes me wanna run my car!! Sucks that I get really bad wheelhop at the track and have to basically let off all the way. It is so bad that i was wearin a helmet and my head kept bumping the roof of my car due to the massive bouncing my wheelhop was causing. Good thing im gettin a differential brace for valentines day from the gf... My friend has one on his car and he spins 1,2 and part of third

yea, obviously you don't know about that, if you did, you wouldn't be going past 15 like discreet is. might want to do a little research before "upping the boost"

Sorry discreet but thats not a low 13 trap, more like a mid 13 trap, keep in mind that for every tenth in the 60 its two tenths in the 1/4, generally speaking. so with a 2.2 60 youd run a 13.7-8, thats still pretty decent for a msp. Get some radials or slicks , and video damnit.

and bored, you know that a t25 is one of the smallest turbos garret has made. I sure as hell wouldnt be pushing that little guy past 15 psi , since its out of its efficiency range by then. I should know about small stock turbos, i have two of them!! lol

are you talking about your rx-7 ? that's nutz0rz...wheelhop in a RWD car must suck ! my miata doesn't do that...then again it only has like 95 whp.

haha you know its funny you said that cause i was approachin redline in 4th and i let off a little before i got to the finish which was right there but i could of squezzed in another 2 or so mph for sure..
