I test drove a 3 today, yay! A blue 5-door. Very sexy little car.
I went with my mom (in her show WRX) so as soon as we got out of the car, there were like.. four salesmen.. and then four other people browsing the lot came over while we were eyeing an RX-8.. it was goofy.
My mom drove first.. and then I got my turn..
The first thing I'd been worried about was the gauges.. they seem really freakishly deep if you're anywhere but the driver's seat, heh heh, but I was super pleased with them once I finally sat down and looked at them right..
Other than that it felt a whole lot like my own car, and the other Mazdas that I've driven. Overall, this REALLY pleases me, because I LOVE the way our Mazdas feel. I was reluctant to really push the car, though, or corner hard (with my mom and the saleslady in the car...)
The only thing I really noticed that was different was that it felt like I was sitting deeper in the seat than in my car. Like.. I was sort of swallowed up by the interior, heh heh. I think that just lent to a sportier feel.. but then again I didn't get a chance to adjust the seat to my short-person specifications.
The verdict? I would definitely enjoy owning one.. hawt damn, good job, Mazda.
