Same question to you about tinting? What level of tint did you go with and what was the cost if you don't mind me asking? Also, as you are in Canada - who did it for you - maybe I have the same company here in Victoria?? Oh yeah and your 5 looks pretty sweet!! I just wish my wife would let me go to town with some nice custom rims & tires!! (2thumbs) (canada)
Too bad we gotta have that stupid front licence plate... all the US 5s look so good without it...

Thanks... I'm lucky because my wife agrees to put some nice custom rims on the 5 even before we got the car.. and yes, I hate that stupid front licence plate too.
I have 15% on all the windows at the rear and 25% on the two windows at the front.
I've been in a car with 5% tint, is very differcult to see at night. The 15% gives you almost the look of the 5% but it doesn't cut down much on visibility. I got them done at Accurit Auto Care in Ottawa. Check if there is one in your area.

Hey guys!! The weather cleared up today, so after work, I decided to take a few pictures of my 5 in the sunlight. I need to apologize in advance though... My camera was switched to it's "indoor setting" so the pictures came out a little blurry (braindead ...

Thanks, in BC its illegal to have tint on the drivers compartment so, I'll opt out of that, but I looked at getting 20% on all the back windows (at least that's what the first guy showed me) and also quoted me $285 to do all the back windows. What did yours cost for all the windows? Unfortunately we do not have an Accurit here in Victoria.

That sounds expensive. I got mine done for $200 tax included for all the windows. Maybe you should look around for a better deal.

Saint: I agree -- subtly painted calipers are the ticket. I'm going to consider that.
As for taillights, I can't decided -- Altezzas are too bright and JDM red just looks huge. I'm waiting to see some pix of a smoked-out tint over the stock chrome. Who's going to be first? I might photoshop it and post a pic.

That's my plan - I wanted to know what you paid so that I could make a fair comparison. Thanks. The other thing is that this is Victoria and everything seems to be more, but I could handle 200 incl taxes.

No offense Zoom5Zoom, but, I traded in the Southern Ontario winters for Victoria winters 14 years ago and I ain't never goin' back!!! (thumb)

Hey folks... Thanks again for all your comments! That's so cool!! I'm all for the black and white theme on my car but I think it would be nice if I had some kind of reddish accent to compliment the theme... That's where the red JDM taillight idea came from... but that would be a pretty BIG accent because we got some BIG taillights on our 5s, hehehe. Maybe if I painted my brake calipers red, then that would probably add to the reddish accent I'm going for... but that would make my car look too much like a "ricer", don't ya think? AAAHHRRRGGGHHH so many ideas!! LOL!!

Sure thing the_saint!! The weather's kinda crappy here in Vegas right now, but it should start clearing up by this weekend... hopefully I can take some new pics then.

Seriously considering this - I wonder how much the tint would cost from rockblocker?
