June 6th WAI AutoX Meet

You can check on the inside of the helmet. There should be a sticker. They release a new rating every 5years. M95 was 1995. So it should be good. If its not they usualy have loaner helmets.

k, its gotta be newer than 95... so I should be fine... I threw out the scratched up visor for it years ago, so autox is all its really good for til I pick up a new one. lol

i'd be down for some breakfast/coffee before some spectating, im pretty sure you got my cell # carl so hit me up on sat

p.s. i always get up early as s***

Yeah I would do breakfast. What time are you guys thinking about meeting? I usually like to get to miller park by 7:30 to register, tech, and walk the course a few times by 9. So if you were meeting early enough, say 6:45, I would do it. There is an ihop on miller park way and national if you are looking for something close. Otherwise I could meet up somewhere else. I am coming from the falls so anything around the zoo works.

I remember you scca ms3. that is me.

I have some more prep work I need to get done with the car that i'm maybe going to deal with today.

I want to get the rear hawk pads in and completely remove my rear sway bar and possibly fix the exhaust leak.

I REALLY REALLY hope its not going to rain this weekend even though everywhere saids its going to.

and I highly doubt I'll make breakfast with you guys since I always wake up late.

does this run rain or shine? if it does... honestly thats good for me... less apt to break s***! lol....

and.. NO rear sway bar? why?

most of the top STS miata set ups run no rear bar, and its so much easier to lay the power down on the miata. and most RWD cars I set up use small or no rear bar and a huge front bar which is how my car is set up.

you want the rear a little soft to get the power down and you just use the throttle to steer.

FWD cars you set up the opposite really stiff rear((thats what she said)) and some what soft front to let the front power wheels grip and the rear to come around and AWD cars handle similar to FWD cars so set up is usually similar to FWD depending on the AWD car you own.

we only stop autoX if the rain gets really really bad or lighting.

I also found out a nice surprize when I took my rear wheel off and found out theres like NO pad what so ever and the rear rotors are completely ruined.

the caliper isn't coming off for me to lube the slider so I have to figurer that all out tomorrow since the race is the next day crap....

ouch dude... I've got an interesting ticking coming from the left front that I'm ignoring until after the event... lol. not the smartest, but I can't do anything about it by then anyway, so, what the hell!

I'd run but I don't think I am going to. Next event fo sho though. I just don't want to break anything before leaving for EECMM on wed..

out of all the motorsports out there, autocross is by far the least harmful.

its no worse than taking your car up to redline a few times.

time to go to autozone for new rotors!
