Jump start the fuel pump???

OK here is the story...wife fueled up her 2000 Protege LX Automatic with 11 gallons of DIESEL, and I have been trying to pump it out for a few days but there is no success. Here is what I have tried:
1. Siphon the gas tank - No go. There seems to be a anti-siphon check valve in the filler neck.
2. Key in ON position - No go...the fuel pump won't even start at all.
3. Key in Crank position with starter disconnected - The PCM seems to be smart enough to know that the starter is not running, so the fuel pump does not start...I guess the fuel pump waits for some engine movement before starting?
4. Key in Crank position with starter connected - fuel comes out but very slow...about 3 minutes per gallon. I think I might damage something before the whole 11 gallons come out running the starter like this.

Help me guys...I really don't know what to do now...I have never been this frustrated about cars. Not even changing the timing belt...

Ahh....Of course everytime right after I make a post, I find the info...there is this wire in the DLC that can be shorted to ground to start the fuel pump....should have read the service manual more careful....

I try to buy a factory service manual as soon as possible after I buy a vehicle. In the absence of that, a thorough search of the internet almost always gets something.
If all else fails, a trip to the dealership for really challenging issues is sometimes necessary - not often, but on occasion.

The fuel pump should always turn on when key goes to on position. It is only to prime and build pressure it will not stay on.

There should be a drain somewhere on the tank
