Joey Spaghetti-head's MBC installed.

I was getting peak boost of just under 7 psi, but it wasn't staying there: as the revs built, it would drop down to 5 psi.

I put the MBC in yesterday, and what I was seeing then was a peak of 10psi, with a drop to 8 psi in 1st-3rd gear. In 5th gear on the hwy, the boost is rock solid at 10psi...

The car feels MUCH faster, and I'm not seeing ANY hesitation...

For all of you autoxers out there, the way I have it installed, it will take about 3 minutes to remove and convert the car back to DS legal condition. Gotta LOVE it...

scapamouche, my car is doing that too now, probably because of the heat, boost up to 7 psi, and then drop down to 5psi and hang there.... any ideas how to alleviate this?

I raised the boost in my car without a gauge because I knew the fuel cut would shut it off before I reached 10.1 psi. My only problem is that with the MBC turned all the way out (no resistance when blowing through) it still hits the cut-off. It won't hit it in first but it crashes in second around 6K everytime, 3rd gear hits it at 5K. I can't wait for the new piggyback ecu to be ready. That should fix all of the problems we're having except the bump and stereo junk. The new piggyback will turn off the boost cut, eliminate the hesitation/stumble entirely, improve gas mileage (if tuned to do so) and increase power. There's no way I'm going to let that get away from me.

Not true, I can hit anywhere from 8 to 14 psi before it fuel cuts depending on temp, load, etc.. It is not a PSI based fuel cut- it is air flow based. Be careful :). I can now run 11 psi + all day long with my MAF enhancer, but it will not be available for a bit longer- if I decide to market it. I may just do special orders or something for it.

Well, the car feels much stronger, much more lagged (in 3rd and 4th), but not anywhere near 14psi. I still feel running 12psi or so is just fine with this set-up but I think my car is running more like 8psi and still hitting the cut off. Irregardless the piggyback ecu will cure this all and it'll have a "boost gauge" built into the program so I could just monitor it from....well, my monitor!

sorry to flame you bud but you sound like my idiot friend who blew his turbo in his audi s4. i told him to get a boost gauge so he can see where hes boosting at, but he said to me "I can feel how much boost I am running". 2 months later, his turbo is blown.

not really a flame, just an ..eh..whatever...even a cheap autometer gauge is like 50 bux at most, but whatever dude
