Joe's FP Reducer kit works!!!!

cool, thanks for the pics and answers. I'll have to get one of these in the near future. I am finally out of break-in and I am really feeling the hesitation/stumble mobile do it's thing.

Yeah but not every tech is an idiot. Besides if they are like VW techs they are all over these forums skulking in the background and usually know all the tips/tricks. I'll have to see what they (my dealer) seem like for mods.

I've installed the FPR kit but I'm still running on my broken I/C pipe, so I can't tell any differences yet. I'll actually go to Mazda tomorrow and see if they can order a pipe for me.. Then I'll be able to tell how well this thing works.

Good product.

Joe rocks...runs a lot smoother right now...just installed the fpr tonight with DrunkenPanda (thanks Chris!)....Now time for boost gauge, 10psi., colder plugs (the NGK that Joe runs...have the part number somewhere), timer, exhaust, IC....jeez there's a shitload more to do... (bang)

Here's the install of mine, looks so clean it's scary, didn't even use any of the zip ties, just ran all the hoseing with some of the other hoseing on the car.

How the hell did you get the plastic tubing from the manifold all of the way on to the T fitting? My T joint is connected to the tubes, but I just could NOT get them slid up all of the way on to the fitting... My hands were hurting like hell after that.

Damn, you need to do some finger excersizes or something :).. I never had any problems getting the hose on. It helps if you wet them first if you need.
Joe

Could someone post step by step pictures of the install? Or at least circle in the pictures the lines we need to splice off of, and where they are in the engine bay. I have a vague idea, but even with the pictures just posted, aren't sure exactly what needs to be done.

Please help a newbie tuner get some experience without screwing up his brand new $20,000 car. :D

I finished to install it and I did road test of 10min. No difference , at all. But, my hesitations are only when I drive 30min and more in traffic ..............................to be continue..........

My drive to work today was MUCH more enjoyable...with my other mods to date, it pulls smooth and hard - now I need more boost, which of course equals a lot more fun! :D

Of course the skeptic in me is wondering if any of the stumbling will return, seeing as how we of course unplugged the battery/reset the ECU...keeping fingers crossed!!

installing my kit tonight.. would take pics but mom's in iowa with the digicam right now... will let you all know..
Ps. My car only stumbles right at 4k.. and its one BIG stumble, then smooth pulling.

More to come!

Install was a complete breeze.. literally once i found my drill. took 10 minutes. Cut the line, install the tee.. drill the whole, put in the grommet, connect lines.. i mean how its literally childs play!
And so far, ive noticed the stumble at 4k is much smaller. Its still there.. but only a fraction.. and its not there all the time. If i just mash it in 2nd it stumbles, but if i get on it in 1st, its not.
Thanks Joe..

ps. my friend has your boost controller on his turbo miata. Had a home depot and halman before yours, says yours is the best.. Probably order one now. :)

I'm a believer :) Thanks Joe, 90%+ of my hesitation problem is gone, and my car is problem free (except those pesky door locks... until I find a welder...). Now wheres my MBC :) Excellent product, easy install, although for a moron like me you need pictures!!!!!! Thanks goodness I found some here or I would have been lost  Either way, good stuff joe. I love you!
