japan-style pipes

is the flow worst through this type of piping? if its the same as mandrel bend, i'm gonna make my own charge pipes...

since i aint gettin replies, i'm gonna esplain. japan-style pipes are individual pieces welded together to create the pipes. instead of bending, they cut pipes at angles and use them as bends.

i am no expert but i would think its the same beacuse your diameter is always the same....but i dunno just guessing....

you may have a small disturbance of air flow, due to the welds, even ground down. I doubt it would be anything truly notciable on the street. It would probably only show using a Dyno.

so, would this be a moderately easy task, or something which i shouldn't do and just have mandrel bent pipes fabed up?

I was going to have those made for my exhaust but it takes a good amount of time. You have cut each piece as you probably already know and weld them close to perfect. Very time consuming. TO ME, it is more for show. What, those japanese tuners don't know how to use a bender! j/p. I love the look of it.

sound bombing you should have put the BOV before the I/C cause w/plastic end tanks it may cause the I/C to fail if you run high boost.

umm...

You kinda got the answer, but Ill toss in mine cause I want some posts. Like boost said, you might get some air flow disturbance because of the welds, I really cant say how much and that would take a dyno to see. If you have the time, I would try doing it cause it does have a look about it.
